We can somehow replace MB seats with Russian ones that we have in su-30 etc. Hopefully dimensions will fit.
It's a level playing field now.
What good would come of it?
MB ejection seats are really good.
BTW Argentinians prefer US-manufactured ejection seats like ACES II.

So again being a simp for the western? Is your dislike of Russia so strong that you will disavow anything Russian?

You are missing the point. India is trying to win the Argentinian order and in order to do that, HAL is trying to figure out how to replace the British made components with other components. This exercise, in itself, is good for India over the long run in the case (there is historical precedent for this) the western countries decide to sanction India again.

It's the best Argentinians can eventually get, since they can't use MB . With second hand f-16 they would get US seats.

We are using 500+ Russian seats in at least 250+ TWIN SEATER sukhois they are surely pretty good and on par with US seats.

Getting high on too much Pootin's propaganda lowers one's IQ.
Read the first line of the article.

If we are replacing the ejection seat for Argentina, then just replace the ejection seat with one that Argentinians want. It pure sales tactics. What is so difficult to understand?
You sale what customer wants to buy and not what you want to sale.

We are not replacing the ejection seat for IAF's version. IAF is more than happy with the performance of MB ejection seat.

All I am saying is if we are replacing the ejection seat for Argentina then just select the new ejection seat that Argentinians prefer.

Issue is we don't have experience with US seats, integrating and testing those will stretch the delivery timeline, though it will depend on Argentina what is their priority .

Ha ha ha did you not notice the line where it says if it uses US seats they may have to reconfigure the cabin which leads to delay and possible loss of order? It seems that being a Westoid simp retrogrades your intellect to the level of homo Neanderthals species.

Won't replacing the seats simplify the supply chain? Similarities between planes will make sourcing replacement parts easier.

Look how clean wings are. They should rename from delta wings to dharavi wings.

zoom into the photo. may be color gone, looks rusty/dirty.

Unfortunately Not many pics available of Tejas flying with Refueling probe. This is the best among those.

True dat.

Dark Sorrow seriously has a case of Russiaphobia. Anything Russian is bad and anything US made is good even though he doesn't recognize or accept that US has sanctioned India before and only seeks to cobble India's independence. He goes around attacking others for posting outside of India and questioning their motives as an infantile attempt to deflect attention from his true intentions & motives.

Sounds like a paid social influencer on behalf of Victoria Nunland.

See it by customer's POV , by using RUssian seats we will make supply chain complex for Argentina, they already uses American planes with US ejection seats.

Israeli Radar/Indian Radar-radome + US engine + Russian seat will form more complex supply chain for customer.

yes but see it from the Indian point of view. Making LCA sanctioned proof is the higher priority and we should seize opportunities to make LCA sanctioned proof. If Argentina doesn't want to go for Russian seats fine with me but I don't think it is much of a big deal because remember Argentina has a hate/love relationship with the US.

How is it you are unable to understand simple things in first go?
IAF is more than satisfied with the performance of MB ejection seat.
It is Argentinians who prefer American ejection seat and not IAF. IAF doesn't want to change the ejection seat.
If we are going to change the ejection seat for Argentinians and invest time, money and energy in re-engineering the replacement of MB ejection seat then why not use the one your customer prefers.
Under any conditions IAF is going to use MB ejection seat only.
How difficult is this to understand?
Use little bit of brains instead of doing Russian dalali all the time.

If we are offering non-Brit seats to Argentinians then we should junk both Russian and Americans and certify Indian 0-0 ejection seats- ask Argentinians to foot 40% of the R&D only. Best for long term- for them and for us.
Have you seen their economic condition ?
