I have written a long article on this form, you guys should search it, but the sum total of the article is that LCA has a strike radius of 1000 km with 2000 KG payload. It can carry out Osirak type attack equivalent to F – 16 aircraft of Israel. The main reason of efficiency of LCA is that the Delta wing inspite of having large surface area has low drag. Presently it seems latest FOC LCA has empty weight 7000kg, MTOW 14200kg, internal fuel 2900kg. FOC LCA is equivalent to Mirage 2000 in range, payload & LCA MKIA will be better.

Can somebody clarify what did the good Air Cmde mean by "we are carrying the mid-board pylon for the first time" (spot at 10:22)? Midboard pylon was there before isn't it? It used to remain empty. Just see any older photo.

Maybe due to speed issue because jf 17 aka xialong chao xi throat mach number is 0.7 .

That image is old and outdated..the new figures are in another image that shows a vast range of weapons that can be loaded on each pylon..The outboard pylons are now rated for max 310 kg each.

This image also makes it clear that HAL calls the Tejas trainer as Lead-In Fighter Trainer. Hence HLFT-42 designation for an internal HAL project to develop a LIFT from the Tejas trainer.

Good poster but the designer should have used borders and different shades of green.

Someone correct me if i am wrong, but HAL has delivered 16 IOC + 16 FOC Tejas. Only the 8 Trainers are remaining which will be delivered in 2023-24, whilst the first 2 Tejas mk1A will be delivered in 2024.

Last we heard ( a few months ago ). Literally 2 aircraft were pending delivery .. not manufactured.. delivery to IAF.

Current one FOC becomes a MK1A standard. I think HAL break this news by giving Nandini sweet to HVT. I believe.

Mk1 FOC has refueling probe
