Are you talking about Mig-25 or JF-17?
MiG-25 is a supersonic interceptor and reconnaissance aircraft . It performed its job we. It was designed to take photos from altitude as well as intercept enemy bombers.
It was never designed to engage with other aerial fighters.
analogy dear.

Sir I would say our analogy is misplaced. Mig25 did its intended task very well while JF-17 seems to be unable to do so.
god damn it. used that in combat perspective. and if you say it did it's intended task? no it didn't. it was a pr machine in the name of best interceptor and shit. most of the time it spent was in warehouses rather than flying.

Is j 10c a rafale level aircraft ?
Nah. I don't think so that J-10 can match Rafale in any Way to be honest. Rafale is superior. It has better engines ,has better Capabilities Overall as compared to the Capabilities of The J-10.
J-10 is a good Fighter Aircraft and formidable in my opinion but it can't match The level of Rafale. Also Rafale has Spectra EW(Electronic Warfare suite). So I don't think so that J-10 is a Rafale level Aircraft.

Customer always gets his way. If IAF doesn't want them they will make sure not to get them.
HAL can say anything but if customer is not ready to pay, things would not move ahead.
At the end of day this is a business deal and what customer wants only matters. Customer is the KING.
To the extreme GoI and force it (Mk2) down the throat of IAF but until IAF accepts it their is nothing HAL can do.
Best bet is to make IAF realize that procuring Tejas Mk. 2 is in their best interest.
If requirements are laid out by IAF and met by HAL, how can IAF decline the aircraft that meets the requirement? GOI finances the development and testing of an aircraft that meets requirements then writes off its investment because IAF has changed its mind? Seriously? That is squandering the defence budget.

Hope Ninda Turtle can pull a Parrikar on the IAF.

Customer in this case, reports to the company's boss for their budgets as well. There is no business deal here since IAF is a hand-me-money organization or as businessmen say "cost centre".

If you are a cost centre, then you don't get to say once your funding authority puts down their foot. HAL is not but MoD is. Given the promise of domestic technology that HAL has showcased worldwide, (now even participating in foreign tenders), the MoD + PMO will ensure that either ACM Chaudhary accepts it or steps aside.

Turkey agressively promoting their Hurtjet in Malaysia
We can offer new generation technologies as well, especially those revolving around SAMs, SSMs, helicopters as well. More of our products are already in operation than Hurjet, which is still in development phase.

We need to offer something more to counter this offer.

i find it funny when people compare the aircraft with only one feature : "bvr". nothing against you but we have enough su 30 mki and mig29 upg. bvr is nothing much special most of the aircrafts can dodge them. their specs are only applicable to best conditions. both blocks are 3 to 3.5 gen.

it's so reliable that even paf doesn't use it in most combat scenarios. maybe they are saving their best allah approved aircrafts for future ghazwa e hind holy war.

p.s.: do we need better bvr? yes. is amraam better than r-77? yes
Well. Someone decided to.talk comparing 17 to Tejas. And not the Sukhois or F16s.

Moreover in PDF idiots are claiming they are getting J10C in June 2022 😂😂

I don't wanna create any Off Topics, but the Argentine Vice Chancellor visited india pretty recently, news for that...kinda passed "under the radar".

"Without further ado, Vice Chancellor Pablo Tettamanti was days ago in India and there the possibility of acquiring combat aircraft that circumvented the British embargo was also evaluated."

Argentina is making some good moves.

It makes sense for your country to choose different defense partners. While ideally we would like you to buy from us (there are several political perks), you should ensure to modernize your weapons from multiple suppliers.

Diverse inventories can be a logistical pain in the ass but once you learn to work with them, you will be able to ensure that no one country dominates your foreign policies. India, Russia, France, Japan, South Korea, and even China make good sense.

Well, i also think it could be a nice purchase (tejas mk.1A, or even something like BrahMos), but for the time being...we kinda have to wait until all formal offers (Tejas, Mig-35, JF-17 and whatever the US is offering), are placed and one of them is picked. That could take some time...
