Yes, DIRCM probably in MLU... Hopefully towed-decoy & IRST pod too.

Otherwise children are already bitching to high heaven due to the delay caused by Python-5.

Good to hear that enough FOC will be delivered this month to turn Flying Bullets into an up and running squadron. I can see the balance of 10 FOC being delivered by April 2022.

Mk1A production to hit 16 a year 2023/2024? That is a really sharp increase in production in a very short time. I presume that FOC frame assembly started before April 2019 in a plant with a production capacity of 8 a year, so FOC production rate can be expected to turn out to be at about 62.5% of the rate the plant could handle. To go from that to exploiting 100% of an increased FAL capacity of 16 a year is quite a big step upwards.

I think we understate our readiness to obfuscate things.....production means stuff is good enough in my opinion and delivery is just a process as that is dependant on basing and other logistics

Now that IAF has started receiving RVV-SD, few of the RVV-AEs should be checked for flight worthiness, health, etc and integrated with FOC Tejas.
Having a 70km BVR before Astra MK1 gets inducted will be a pretty fiesty advantage for forward base Tejas squardons in future.

Wait a minute , is it r 77 missile you are talking about.

If they do deliver 8, IAF would have inducted like 80 brand new fighters in the last 3 years. 36 RAFALES, 32 Tejas and 24 Sukhois (12 every year).

Yep...not to be confused with R-77-1 currently being procured for Sukhois. Being older gen missile, I believe Ruskis will share the source codes with us.
