The Army Evaluation Center (CAEx) supported, on March 24, the firing of the Surface-to-Surface Missile System 1.2 Anti-tank (MSS 1.2 AC), carried out by the Army Technological Center (CTEx).
The equipment consists of ammunition (missile and launcher tube) coupled to a firing unit for aiming and shooting, which make up a light set, easy to transport and quick to enter or leave position. The intrinsic parameters of the system in the field were tested based on the requirements of the Brazilian Army.
The MSS 1.2 AC is a surface-to-surface, anti-tank, medium-range, laser-guided missile weapon system for use by ground and vehicle troops.
It provides greater portability, flexibility and precision in combat against armored vehicles, through the implementation of high technology by the industrial base of defense and security, together with the Science, Technology and Innovation System of the Army.
The Chief of CTEx, Brigadier General Armando Morado Ferreira, the Chief of CAEx, Brigadier General Alexandre Martins Castilho, engineers and technicians from the company SIATT Engenharia, responsible for manufacturing the system developed by CTEx, Brazilian Navy personnel, participated in the event. and military personnel from CTEx and the Test Section of the Material Evaluation Division of CAEx.
