So there is a high degree of imported stuff to make this KX-21 fly whereas our AMCA program would be completely indigenous except for the engine? Will be 100% when the Safran-GTRE joint program finally produce an engine that meet or surpass the GE-414 engine.

Whats happening with Indonesia? Why are they still being stingy with the money? I doubt they will get a better deal than this any time soon since the koreans did all the work but they still get to assemble these jets

The Chinese will get there eventually became it is a geopolitical necceciety but there is plenty of tech the Russians have given officially and unofficially. Chinese subsystems still notoriously unreliable - reverse engineering stolen tech and shortened dev cycles will always show cracksm . Though they will eventually overcome and find maturity

They already have engine, ejection systje, electronics from Raythoen, BAE systems manufacturers the hydraulics.
