it is quite strange that PAF has not told what aircraft has damage after all this time.
Strangest was their denial of having no junk fighters at air base.

These were all home grown terrorists, trying to find "foreign elements" is a diversion to save face

even if they are home grown terrorists, its not that easy to attack a military base that too just 9.
this require highest synchronization in between the attackers, very well trained and planning from beginning.
no doubt there will be many more groups to carry out such attacks
even after attack on a naval base a successful attack on another strategic base is embarrassment for g.o.p.

but why did they attack in early hours. if had they attacked at night they would have been more successful

Three JF-17 Blunders damaged in attack

The Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) spokesman Ehsanullah Ehsan on Thursday claimed responsibility of the attack on Pakistan Air Force's (PAF) Minhas airbase at Kamra. Ehsanullah Ehsan, while speaking to a private TV channel from an undisclosed location, said: "We have killed scores of security personnel." He also claimed that they have damaged three JF-17 thunder aircraft. "We are proud of this operation. Our leadership had decided to attack Kamra base a long time ago." Ehsan said "nine of our men entered the base, four from one side and five from the other"¦ They got together and launched the operation." He said that the attack was a revenge for the lives of Baitullah Mehsud and Osama Bin Laden. The TTP spokesman said that "they will continue the attacks on the military installments until the establishment of Islamic rule in the country." He also confirmed the death of all nine TTP men who attacked the base.

Kamra has 14 JF-17s, 1 Saab-2000, 2-3 C-130s, few F-16s and Mirages.

From what i can see in news clippings there are at least 2 IL-78MD at Kamra.............Idea of nukes makes even more sense with stationing of IL-78s there.
