You are just another Packee and a complete nobody and I would not believe you anyway.

The successes and failures of 1965 are summed up perfectly well in two books

1. The 1965 air war by Jagan Mohan (Indian source)
2. The Flight of the Falcon by Air Commodore Nosey Haider. (Pakistani source)

Nosey haider was a PAF jockey in 65, there are many neutral sources confirming PAF superiority, if you need them, do tell me. ;)

its out there, the evidence is shared and hundreds of research documents, google it, all big players are concerned about missiles that reach hypersonic regimes, particularly at terminal phase, so far no anti missile system is able to intercept them.

Such missiles usually have dual/ multiple guidance onoard to make things even more difficult for defenses. The reaction time here is the key factor mate, too less time (usually seconds) to intercept the hypersonic threat.
Interception is one thing in terminal phase.

Your missile may have 400 Km range, no doubt, But the IR seeker or radiation seeker of the missile will acquire the AC only at a distance of about les than 50 Km.

Till the missile reaches the 50 Km distance point near the ship , it has to be guided by the JF-17's radar only. The JF-17 radar won't be able to overcome the ECM suit of an Ac group that can blind any fighter Fire control radar within the 400 Km radius of the AC group.

details of the ECM on board AC.it is going to be upgraded further.

The only protection it will have against incoming aircraft till 2017 (as per estimates) will be electronic systems. Hence, one of the more interesting demonstrations conducted this year was of the ASOR Russian electronic warfare system fitted on the carrier. Those who participated said the shipÂ’s sensors picked up incoming aircraft at a distance of 350 km and,in some cases, even 400 km.
During trials, the ship’s electronic warfare systems defeated all incoming aircraft by blinding them with directed energy. “Not a single aircraft managed to detect the ship when systems were in use. The only way they could find the ship was when it got into visible range,” said Igor Leonav,Chief Commissioner of Sevmash.
Several aircraft, including Su 33 fighters,MiG 29 Ks,IL 38s and Kamov choppers, were used to test the electronic warfare systems. But this is the only defence against air attacks, other than the last stage Pk2m chaff/flare launchers used as decoys when incoming missiles home in.
So the JF-17 can not give mid course update to the the cruise missile to get close to the carrier , and switch on its active missile seeker.

There are many ways to spoof any kind of missile seeker. may be it is tough to shoot down a hypersonic missile at its terminal phase. but the seeker tech is always vulnerable to many kind of spoofing.

Intense IR counter measure deployment can blind the IR seeker of any missile. AN IR Missile chasing a fighter with QWIP seeker which stores the surface heat image of the fighter is one thing.

But an IR missile that is targeting the AC whoch does not show high IR signature on its outer surface is another thing.

Counter measure exists for all kind of seekers. one with the better resources and tech will always dominate the battle field.

If spectra like active cancellation tech is employed, the fighter radars can not even use jam on homing method as midcourse guidance. because active cancellation does not betray the position of the jammer and an upcoming tech to defeat the jam on homing guidance systems.

I too can say if we send a few squadrons of SU-30 MKi with brahmos we can sink USS Nimitz in no time. But the reality is very different. There are specific drills and ECM measures to counter any such eventuality in an AC carrrier battle group.

And in future even direct energy methods will come into play defeating the numerical superioirity advantage of attacking fighter group.

Unless you have a stealth fighter that approaches a carrier with no stealth fighter escorts, it is hard for a fighter to get into firing position on a carrier.

here is your pic of Dubai 13

and here is the what Chinese showed few years ago.

here is the pic of the original Chini rocket
Both are correct missiles. One is developed for anti-ship role and another for land attack. The larger fin version is for anti-ship.

@Dazzler

Neither of these are YJ-12 versions. YJ-12 is a completely different missile following a completely different trajectory and function. The article you posted is misleading.

This is YJ-12.

This is YJ-12.

i quoted chinese sources who link it as a derivative of yj-12, but there is confusion on this issue. Yj=12 has atleast 4 variants with different trajectories and flight profiles. In the mean time, here is flight global..

CM-400AKG above, sy-400 (actual round) below, differences are visible.

for reference only, yj-12 is still a bigger missile

If you compare CM 400 you posted with Dubai 13 CM400 fins are very short. That is why i said which is final configration.

No clearity on this. Another million dollor question which ship it was tested on? To prove it can deliver what it says.

It is impossible for CM-400AKG to be a derivative of YJ-12.

CM-400AKG is a solid fueled rocket powered engine while YJ-12 has a liquid fueled RAMJET like Brahmos.

CM-400AKG follows an entirely different trajectory of climbing to a high altitude and then dropping down towards the target. YJ-12 can follow high altitude trajectory as well as sea skimming profile during terminal stage. Both are for completely different purposes.

Read up on the Kh-22/32 for more clues.

@sayareakd

This is CM-400AKG anti-ship version.

This is CM-400AKG land attack version.

Actual designations separating them in the CM-400 family is still unknown. It is just a bunch of export missiles.

I think you meant Kh-15
KH-15 itself is a direct equivalent of the CM-400AKG, but you will find more information on KH-22/32 even if they are using a different propulsion system. The way it is used will be similar to CM-400AKG.

Well, i agree, too many clouds surrounding it as of now, on your second question, i just wished i knew. :)

All that is known that PAF personnel stated its final approach as hypersonic and online sources give a speed of around between mach 4.5 - 5.5.
