one Japanese article: what is behind J20 projects:

its aerodynamics design was tested in over one hundred of huge windy tunnels hidden in huge mountains between Sichuang and Shanxi.

Its components were forged by global biggest superhydropress in Shanghai;

global fastest super computer helped designers with the optimizaiton .

China didn't hacked F22 informations,but F-35.

J20 and Mig 1.44 have similar general aerodynamic configuration, that's about all we can say. The fuselage is completely different, airintake shape and location completely different, the wings and the canards are different too, so is the wing location. In truth J20 has just as much if not more in common with J10, Eurofighter, F22 or F35 than it does with Mig 1.44.

J20 has design elements taken from various aircrafts, J10's wings, Mig 1.44's tail section, F22's nose and cockpit, and F35's body. But as whole J20 is very unique design. I dare say there is far more similarity between Mirage 2000 and LCA than there is between Mig 1.44 and J20.

None of those fighters are as big as J-20/MiG 1.44, none have rear canted bottom stabalisers, none have such low wing base and huge canards. It is obvious...

Mig copy?Heck no!!
Mig-1.44 is heck a lot different than J-20 design.But Mig-1.44's Canards represent J-20.Everything else is different.

J20 has high wing and different shaped wings and canards than those on the 1.44. Bottom stabilizers will probably be removed on production models. J10 has it, F16 too has it.

Regarding size, J20 is kind bulky but it is not longer than PAK-FA and weighs probably just as much.

None of the foreign models you listed have it. F-16 and J-10 are NOT 5th generation, not even 4.5. If J-20 has to remove it, then J-20 is not a a production model but a tech demonstrator as I have said all along. So was the MiG 1.44 and the Russians dumped it as obsolete junk.

It is longer than PAKFA, it is as long as an F-111. PAKFA weighs 18t, J-20 around 22-24t depending on use of composites.

J20 is by all accounts between 20 and 21 meters long. Compare this with other aircrafts:
PAK-FA 19.8m
Su27 21.9m
F-22 18.9m
F-111 22.4m

PAK-FA figure is from wiki, there are other soruces that quote 22m for example. Regarding the weight, unless you are a guy working on J20, you won't how much it weighs. J20 looks bulky on the side, but PAK-FA is wider.

I do agree with you that the aircraft called J20 is likely a technology demonstrator, but the same goes for PAK-FA as well. Currently with its 0.5m^2 RCS, 2-piece cockpit, Su27 style air-intakes, it does not even quality as a stealth fighter.

PAK FA is not a tech demonstrator. It is a production model. .5m^2 RCS is what they have, J-20 is far more with all the added control surfaces and canards. Even the intakes are not stealthy.

One thing most people (not from India and Russia) do agree on J20 is that it looks far more stealthy than PAK-FA which in its current form is nothing more than a redesigned Su27. Currently, except for the nose, there is nothing stealthy with that bird.
