If ever war is triggered against Iran, the US and coalition will focus on air and sea actions while proxies within and outside Iran backed by US and coalition special forces will do the ground offensive. And I think the aim of any action against Iran is not total defeat (which will mean the commitment and deathbof thousands of US and coalition forces, and tens of thousands of civilians) but a Syria-like situation were proxies control pockets of Iranian territories from where US and coalition forces will operate from.

Still, any war with Iran will have significant repercussions on World oil market...

Because of the bad equation between US and Turkey... with US operations severely restricted from Incrilik, the US has been expanding heavily in Jordan. Also, Turkey did not allow it's soil to be used for staging Iraq invasion. So, Kuwait was used. Turkey won't help US in war with Iran..

Superpower is not a relative term, it's an epithet coined by cold war observer who couldn't come to terms with the obscene concentration of military power. Iranians only need to step inside neighboring Iraq or Afghanistan to have their superpower Epiphany.

It's true that this term was coined in cold war for countries with global influence but it has been a relative term since rise of Asia.

Obviously, most powerful countries have a global influence and they need to have strengths in many aspects. Be it economy, military, trade, information or other aspects. A superpower must be ahead of all other countries (however, may have one close rival).
IMO world hasn't or very soon won't have any true sole superpower. Other countries in world are catching up very fast.
