The AK clones OFB's 7.62x39 chambered ghatak and tar are waste of time and energy because there is no change in terms of quality and look from the original. Instead of copy pasting had they developed a 7.62x39 version of insas just like the 5.56x45 and 7.62x51versons it would be more appreciable. Because just like galil ace or CZ Bren, for example, insas has also established its separate identity though initially it was based on AKs. Developing a standard issue assault rifle for its defence personal is a matter of national pride not a joke like this and love to see IAF garud for example donning insas rifles in the aero India before the advent of IWI Tavor and x95. This is also giving a chance to the end users to reject their products and it's also rumoured that some end users prefer a Russian alternative over them for using in counter insurgency. They had also committed the same mistake on the 9mm anamica (a carbon copy of mp5) instead of developing a 9mm version of JVPC. Looks like they are lacking in self believe. ARDE's mciws/AAR is also an excellent baseline design.
