INS Arighat and the third ship of that class will be ready. But I don't think that the fourth sub-marine will be ready by 2022.Yes, we will be operating 4 SSBNs by 2022, so SSN are badly needed.

America has the ohio class. And to counter that Chinese has the Jin class and another 6 under construction. Now India will be building its own SSBN to counter that. So, India will need atleast 6 ships of that class.4th SSBN is already in construction so it will be ready before 2024 for sure . Next will be the S5 class of bigger SSBNs from current Arihant class jugaad SSBN
Haha that's why navy and air force were not supporting post of CDS till now.

Is it because indian Navy follows customs and war fighting ideology of Royal navy? Coz i guess royal navy also focuses on having bigger ships and aircraft carrier type stuff?. Just my guess. It was a dead meat from the beginning. Why was the Navy so hell bent on a lavish AC? What was the end result? Kickbacks?
It was fishy and unheard off, they were willing to sacrifice other units just for this AC. Moreover such a big ship doesn't justify any propulsion other than nuclear.
They were wishing to cut down the 200 ship target to 175 but they are hell bent on this design, wonder why?. A design of IAC1 is more genuine and economically, practically more viable.
For now, TEDBF is a concept presented in meeting... that was apparently not rejected. Most pro-desi of all forces, Navy itself doesn't seem averse of the idea. But its future is totally uncertain because the 65000t carrier may reduced to another 50kt one due to cash crunch (just a hunch).
TEDBF will replace mig29...............I predicted this quite a while ago... It was very likely, but also really bad news for TEDBF. Navy may not need it now.
I hope TEDBF doesn't go off the table as well.

I hope it does. No point wasting money on a non-starter.I hope TEDBF doesn't go off the table as well.
But we need it to replace existing Mig29s?I hope it does. No point wasting money on a non-starter.
I wish it goes down the priority listI hope TEDBF doesn't go off the table as well.
To that, I agree. AMCA and subs are need of the hour.I wish it goes down the priority list
As chances of 65,000ton carrier is almost nil, now Navy will ask for second Vikrant class carrier. They will not leave their dream of acquiring third carrier so fast.

that's what most of fanboys want........As chances of 65,000ton carrier is almost nil, now Navy will ask for second Vikrant class carrier. They will not leave their dream of acquiring third carrier so fast.
Second vikrant class carrier is a good deal because it will support our existing infrastructure and skilled labour will be put to use again. As chances of 65,000ton carrier is almost nil, now Navy will ask for second Vikrant class carrier. They will not leave their dream of acquiring third carrier so fast.
