Oh, sorry I did not give what I learned. There is one Taiwan defence forum claimed it (IAC-1) is only temporarily towed out of dry dock, to make space for other ships. It will be towed back, from water, for further works at "2nd half of the year", w/o specific date nor month. I didn't verify the statement. But considering some precision & delicate works required, such as the ship head/ski-jump section installation, that sounds reasonable. It could mean we will see this beauty there shining on water for few months.

guys i think its a kind of a noob question but is it true that the U.S.N. offered us their recent de-commissioned a/c carrier "the kitty hawk" free of cost but with the condition that we would have to buy atleast 65-70 f-18 s/h with it in 2008 and the I.N. bluntly refused that offer!
if this is true then we surely made a costly mistake!:tsk:

no its not because we already have one ac work within Russia and main thing is repair and maintenance of the old ac may be a burden for navy

You can see the carrier on this bridge >>>>> "VENDURUTHY VIKRANT BRIDGE".

Yes... the bridge has IAC-1's name in it. :lawl:

WATCH THIS VIDEO ABOVE, IT HAS IAC-1 IN IT!

0:08-0:11

It's extremely close to the bridge.

If anyone goes to Venduruthy Vikrant Bridge in kochi, you'll spot it,

Another picture captured by 'anviddipu'.

If you go through this bridge, 100% chance of seeing it up close.
