1st trials are completed
2nd trails are scheduled in September
Mallus have to be proud about the fact that India's first Indigenous carrier is built on "Malayali waters"
20000 Crores worth of rupees went back into the economy Virtue of the fact that it is built in house
Very crucial piece of equipment to counter China
He also talks about the need of 3rd carrier

(Very Jingoistic person)
Ya'll Nibbiars just tell that person next time please delivery it before time to the HSL.

അഴകേകിയ കനവെല്ലാം അകലുന്നപോലെ

According to this article by Angad Singh ,the dimensions of the lifts of INS Vikrant are 10x14m.
Secondary issues though as we can always push Russians for upgraded 29k's and go with Tejas....1st indigenous one is always going to be transitional to better designs.

So according to the article only MIg29 and tejas can fit on the lift. Boeing is making effort for an angular fit. Dassault is almost out.
How about after Vikrant? Say next A/C after Vikrant is much bigger (a very possible scenario), then at that time we are going to acquire much bigger aircraft? If yes (we are getting bigger ones), should it means the risk of logistics (commonality) disadvantage? If no (we will stick to what we can put on Vikrant today), isn't that another risk to skip bigger, heavier, and thus more competent ones (NOT mean I don't support NLCA)?
Put the other way, anyone familiar w/ TEDBF can confirm it can fit the lift of that size?

TEDBF will fit as it has folding wingspan is similar and its length is shorter than the MIG 29K.
Do watch this video,

Even if we start today
the next A/C will be ready in 10yrs. But in 10 yrs we might not need any foreign aircraft on it.

the lift on Ins Vikrant is 10x14 and tedbf with folded wings is 7.6m so tedbf will fit on vikrant easily.
