Space constraint? Cloverleafs require the most amount of area among all 4-way interchanges. For this complex junction, they should've designed a hybrid interchange (combining cloverleaf, stack and turbine). This kind of jugaad is unsafe, that's why you won't see such abomination anywhere else.

The problem of traffic weaving will be very high here, due to 4 entry and exit ramps.

Yeah, why not? The radii of the ramps will be designed according to the required speed (the one you showed is huge because it's probably designed for expressway speeds). The equivalent cloverleaf design will always have a larger footprint.

They are doing chindigiri; nothing else. Cloverleaves are generally cheap to build and maintain.

From pure governance perspective Modi is unparalleled in Indian history (and it’s not even remotely close), it’s remarkable the vision he has given he doesn’t come from an industry background at all

+ what is going on in Rajasthan? They are such an anomaly there for the ratio of work approved vs the volume of work rejected/withdrawn/pending (~10% work actually approved, the next worse seems to be Kerala at ~25%)
