Tsar bomba is a 50 MT blast genius and the graph between destruction and yield is not linear. So that itself implies that the blast zone of a 5 MT is much less than 1000 sq km.You need to stop smoking the peace pipe. Villages 60 KM away from the TSAR Bomba were reduced to rubble, not from fires, but shattered by the blast waves. The Tsar bomba immediate kill area is close to 10,000 sq km. The Tsar would have caused 3rd degree burns at more than 100km. DO YOUR RESEARCH. Taking potshots only shows you up as the internet warrior that you are. Once again, we do not have 400KT. We claim to have 200KT. I'd rather debate with grown ups. Ignoring your uneducated tripe.

See the comparison between the Little boy(12.5 KT) and a 1 MT TN bomb...while the 1 MT nuke has 80 times more yield than the little boy its destruction is only 6 times that of little boy.
Does that tell something..? Yes. It tells 8 little boys cause more destruction than a 1 MT nuke even though the 8 nukes combinedly yield only 100 KT. Which means MT nukes are nothing but wasteful ego boosters while much smaller nukes in a MIRV can cause more destruction. India is going that way and that is the smart way to go.
p.s: Personal insults are the last resort of the incompetent.
That was the cold war madness when MIRV was not there and strategic bombers were in vogue. Now that MIRV tech is there every nation is cutting back on the yield to standard 300-400 KT and increasing the nos in a single missile. The latest W87 warhead on the Trident III is rated @ 300 KT, upgradeable to 475 KT and the W88 is 475 KT and these are the latest nuclear warheads in US arsenal.Your wisdom is awesome, you command over math is stunning ... The P5, who amongst them have in excess of 1000 megaton warheads are nothing but ego maniacs as per you wisdom. Good night. I keep asking myself why I even pick up a conversation with you?
Stop talking nonsense man. You gave bogus numbers abt the Tsar boba, I refuted with correct numbers and you conveniently avoided addressing it and went off on a different tangent. That was the cold war madness when MIRV was not there and strategic bombers were in vogue. There is absolutely no sense in having MT nukes when it has been scientifically proved that KT warheads in MIRV config can cause much more damage.
Yes you should ask that especially when you end up getting pwned everytime.
It was not a convincing test. Too many claims of the thermonuclear device having not met yield. Some claims of the thermonuclear device not triggered at all. These doubts have to be demonstrably clarified.Track, please go back through our test. The 45kt test was a scaled test for a 200kt device.
Please also note that wether it was a slip or intentional, a DRDO official has said that all Indian warheads and future ones on MIRVs will be 200-250 KT
We have purposely kept all that ambiguity. It has worked for us. The US has tried its best to get us to declare our arsenal size and quality by coming up with all kinds of fake claims just to see if we bite the bait and actually tell them "no you are wrong we have this". It ain't happening. All te doubts are by the western media planted and their governments. Mr Shantaram was either their man or he was a nationalist who wanted more tests. I think it was the latter. It was not a convincing test. Too many claims of the thermonuclear device having not met yield. Some claims of the thermonuclear device not triggered at all. These doubts have to be demonstrably clarified.
Carriers are needed, MT warheads are notLeave aside yield and collective power of kt warheads, we can plan 5 aircraft carriers for power projection but not a single Mt test ?
Well its not exactly necessary to stockpile Mt warheads, nobody knows about it either. But a Mt test is not economic burden and it projects national power like nothing else.Carriers are needed, MT warheads are not
Any further N tests by India will NUKE our hard earned Nuclear dealWell its not exactly necessary to stockpile Mt warheads, nobody knows about it either. But a Mt test is not economic burden and it projects national power like nothing else.
No country is conducting tests because N tests have become irrelevant
These days all such tests are done through super computers
USA France Russia China ALL have not conducted tests since they signed CTBT
Infact in all N weapon states including India the scientists who made THOSE bombs which were tested have ALL retired
and their successors are constantly testing and improving their designs through super computers
We are not signatory to CTBT. Other nations who signed CTBT are also NWS.Any further N tests by India will NUKE our hard earned Nuclear deal
And we need the nuke deal we dont need the nuclear tests
NSG has approved the Indo US Nuclear dealWe are not signatory to CTBT. Other nations who signed CTBT are also NWS.
We are yet to get into NSG, so much for maintaining good boy image.
Its the other nations who need Indian Nuclear Power Plants more than India. Look how Auz soften itself when it saw a live business being taken away by French and Russians. These are posturing techniques.
N-tests will become relevant once again when any nation test it.
We are so used to it that we can not even think otherwise to make it possible.SO to admit India as A NWS NPT will have to be redrafted which is NOT possible
Seriously? Indian security is taken as joke by our neighbors. Your western neighbor has swallowed entire state and the one on the eastern front has modified all the maps to intrude and claim multiple Indian states. No other nation on this planet faces such threats from nuclear neighbors. China has Mt warheads and it wouldn't take anytime for China to proliferate ready warheads to Pak.NSG approval of the Indo nuclear deal also mentions that India will ADHERE to its Voluntary morotarium on N tests
TILL such Developments happen in its NEIGHBORHOOD which affect Indian security
Saar you have completely "misrepresented" what power projection means. Carriers are definitely needed in war. MT test is a waste of money and precious fissile material.Well its not exactly necessary to stockpile Mt warheads, nobody knows about it either. But a Mt test is not economic burden and it projects national power like nothing else.
