Did we took out Porki Chinese spy satellite...:daru:
Even modi hinted surgical strike in space......:scared2::india:
@sayareakd
It was revealed we took out our own micro sat. Testing an ASAT weapon on an enemy satellite is too bad ass of a thing for our current govt.

With this A-Sat test, if the idea was to put Pakistan to its proper place and not as a militaristic Muslim power bothering everybody, then India has succeeded. They were caught dumb fold with india’s Balakote strike and now with this A-Sat test, they have been caught with their pants down. For the last ten years they were very confident in their over built traditional military power with American and Chinese aid. Even their possession of tactical and strategic nuclear weapons in their arsenal did not do them any good when india threatened to unleash missiles at them (most likely under water missiles). They countered with their own threat and then relented and released the pilot within 48 hours and de-escalated.

Hardly did they know that india has another strategic A-Sat weapon in its arsenal at that time. It’s test just three weeks after Balakote, simply took them by a surprise. Pakistan has no satellites running around in the space hence they have nothing to worry about. It is the Chinese satellite feed they get for all their military purposes. That is the one to be threatened. Chinese will be forced to relent in the face of escalation. They used I believe the Chinese satellite feed in the glide bomb GPS, to send It to the brigade headquarter at the LOC. To india’s luck, the GPS co-ordinates entered were not accurate (blame it on Chinese feed) that the glide bomb fell a hundred yards away from the intended target.

There is no threat to anybody else, no reason to feel apprehensive about it but the message has been delivered to both China as well Pakistan that A-Sat is not the last technical innovation in India’s arsenal. There are many more.......

which chinese assets does pakistan lost to India ?

Another theory ?

Did we really lost risat-1 too chinese space debris ?

Source wiki:
Incidents[edit]
On 30 September 2016, Joint Space Operations Center identified a debris generating event near RISAT-1.[14][15] The event created 16 pieces out of which 15 decayed and one was catalogued on 6 October 2016 under NORAD ID: 41797 and COSPAR ID: 2012-017C and decayed on 12 October 2016. Cause of this event remains unknown. A month later on 3 November 2016, RISAT-1 data was declared unavailable on ESA's Copernicus Space Component Data Access portal due satellite outage. Satellite was experiencing anomalies but ISRO denied they were related to fragmentation event.[2][16]

End of mission[edit]
On 26 July 2017, Department of Space released names of its operational satellites in a reply to a Parliamentary query and RISAT-1 was not included in the list.[3][17] Later in Annual Report 2017-18 of Department of Space, RISAT-1 was declared non-operational.[18

something doesn't count. Why would India shot down Microsat-R ? Which was launched just few weeks ago ?

Microsat R -
Launch date: 24 January 2019
Launch mass :740 kilograms (1,630 lb)
NORAD ID:
43947
LOCAL TIME:
20:55:08
UTC:
19:55:08
LATITUDE:
11.64
LONGITUDE:
-124.80
ALTITUDE [km]:
-68.24
ALTITUDE [mi]:
-42.4
SPEED [km/s]:
7.95
SPEED [mi/s]:
4.94
AZIMUTH: 315.8 NW
ELEVATION:
-50.2
RIGHT ASCENSION:
22h 59m 09s
DECLINATION:
-26° 54' 03''
Local Sidereal Time:
09h 01m 28s
The satellite is in day light
SATELLITE PERIOD: 90 m

Space debris generated: 270

We already have many other sats at given altitude, why waste a new on this ? Even the path of this sat is not unique as when it is destroyed collision with other sats could be avoided.

Further if this sat was launch just to be destroyed, techniques could have been incorporated to reduce space debris and hence avoiding criticism.

I am speculating here................. DRDO satellite launched in Jan'19 could have carried some experimental payload which completed its required 'tests' and of not much value anymore.

Second reason could be that the launched satellite was deliberately put in a very low earth orbit, so that the debris doesn't create worldwide condemnation; other 'expired'/'expiring' Indian LEO sats are higher in altitude

It is important to hit a viable satellite to then confirm its inability to relay signals. Most likely it was sent for the same purpose of being a target.

One possibility can also be that purpose built satellite target has evasive measures built in, like a military satellite would have.

other wise any other old indian satellite of that weight category would have done that job, there must have been some of them available in orbital decay..

In short we indeed did waste 10 years under UPA government and now we will waste another 5 years just because some fools want that imaginary 72k per annum in their accounts. GOD don't save this country if these robbers are voted back to power.
By which metric are you assuming such a stupid analogy? Do you have an idea of the massive credibility gap Pappu has? He blew a chance to show his promises were reliable with farm loan waiver! Now you have farmers up in arms in MP, RJ, CG because of false promises.

Meanwhile PMKSY HAS WORKED! Farmers instantly got Rs. 2000 in their account. Double the number will get the amount in April first week and in the manifesto this might even become a monthly thing! You can even have paid internship vouchers in the manifesto for job creation of graduates and MNREGA restructured for skilling people.

Then there are the massive DBT programmes run by Modi which has a 1/3 more value in cash! Modi's national security plank and the fact that such a high threshold has been established for leadership by him. A LS election where people choose LITERAL CHAOS or INDIA ACTUALLY SHINING!

Dr. Saraswat our radars could see 1500kms. Being saying that for long time.
His statements raises curious questions!

He said a Satellite has a very high RCS compared to a ballistic missile.....but the kill vehicle for a satellite uses an IIR seeker while the kill vehicle for a ballistic missile uses an RF seeker!!!
Somehow it doesn't appear to square!!!

Or perhaps the future BMD missiles will use the newly developed IIR seekers going forward???

Still, it doesn't answer the question why an new IIR seeker needed to be developed for ASAT when RF seeker might have done the job given a satellite's high RCS!!!

I just noted this. There was going to be a session of legal subcommittee in Vienna from April 1 to 12 on peaceful used of outer space.

That should explain why A-SAT test was done just before elections. If this was not done now, later such endeavour would have attracted sanctions and we would again be at the mercy of others who already have done this. Since we had technology, we tested it and got all the test data we needed.

I think in space where satellite is travelling behind black ground IR sensor will easily pic up target satellite.

IR sensor which is recent development for PDV, we are still playing with it. PAD used RF. Earlier it was started with Russian seeker, we made our which is much better.

One theory told to me, that China is using Tibet laser facility to damage Indian military Satellites. We lost few due to this high power laser. Saw their facility posted by Raj47.
Laser frying a satellite 500kms above and moving at 8kms/s ?
Theoretically possible, not sure if it's practically doable though - also if China has developed that level of targeting capability!

One thing that might buttress the claim would be if the satellites become dysfunctional precisely when they were flying over the Tibetan plateau. I doubt if this data is available.

Just like some Aussie analysts give very unfavorable viewpoints on India, Raj47 always seems to spin things in India's stride.
