One month at PRTC and then respective units take them in and leave them under the unit training team. 3 months is just a general assumption. It ranges anywhere between 2 to 6 months based upon the probee's skill.

The newly inducted force Trax ( it's not Gurkha, it's called trax) has a mileage of
5 kmpl in a 4x4 High mode. It's is quick though and rugged. Best is it has hull mounted hooks for aerial transportation. It has a remote winch, fully rigid under belly with dual beam support. It has a collar bone suspension supplemented with a hydraulic unit. No height adjustment though. Better cargo loading than a gypsy.
