That’s not their fault!

They are there and ready to go, it’s red tape that has caused them to not be used in any ops to date. They remain ready to be deployed but the local govt seem totally opposed to this for some reason.
The info I have is that it's a total cluster fcuk from the HM. No integration into RR/army command C&C . So they have no authorization to deploy.

Then local forces (JK police) etc are just playing parcinf the parcel due to lack of clarity and orders.

There was a recent encounter where they were stood up and then stood down as everyone pretty much shrugged and let the army do their thing

Seems like military-bureaucratic battle

It seems a paratrooper lost his life when both of his parachutes failed to open. The 4th incident in the last 1 year. What parachutes are we using? Are these imported or from an Indian firm? Tragic loss of life due criminal negligence needs to stop.

Its not always problem of defect. Each parachute is individually packaged before each jump...there is a correct and precise method that has to be used to fold and pack so that it opens correctly without entangling. Sometimes a small short cut or negligence during this process can cause tragedy.

Yes, that's why want to know where the problem lies. Actions should be taken. Both the parachutes failed to open - points to really shoddy quality control. Consider the whole lot, how many might be defective in a similar way!!
