What is the significance of a cross bow over a silenced pistol , Uzi/mp9 which are more light weight and easily concealable ?Even recently they were spotted with crossbows.

I think they are more silent than the gun.

Yes , crossbows are way more silent then guns with silencer.

I think 12th para is under eastern command , the terrain look like either ladakh or sikkim ...or is it in NE ?

Since 2014 there has been 1 SF raised only ie 12th.Other newly raised are 23 and 29 para non sf battalions.So maybe its including them coz 11th battalion was raised in 2011 i think.

COBRA is an elite unit but not an SF.They are doing a excellent job in Naxal areas.

Yes,they are fine soldiers anyway.

Pakistanis consider even the regular Gurkha units as SF.

A lot of soldiers do this ie studying for a few hours then going to give sentry duty and coming back to again study for their exams to become officers.

Many of them succeed and become officers like this.

No.

Army setup a CIJWS kind of school which was headed by a Army Brigader and instructors from Infantry.
