Yes but interoperability with other us made P8 and Romeo halos in navy will be far greater with f 18 and us won't allow this type of data link with rafales which is important as per logistics these jets will be used on sea based AC so this logistics issue won't make big difference F 18 offers better situational awearness and IN is more happy with us made weapons than other two forces

India has defence doctrine regarding inspection regime study the case of INS JALSAWA and what we did to it
We bought ship from US name INS JALSALWA after that we except engine we basically replace everything on that ship

The Rafale wins because the parts bin exists. Navy pilots can train with Air Force and not have to fly to America. Logistics is king at the end of the day. And I'm pleased to see Navy make a sensible decision.
