There is virtually nothing defending Car Nicobar as those listed forces are at Port Blair. A couple Type 71 LPDs can land enough troops to take the airstrip and start an air bridge from Burma. PLAAF can bomb Port Blair to ruble at the same time. Only way for China to do anything is if they have Burmese support.

Well what if we enforce a blockade around the Island and let the Chinese starve for death?

That will directly lead to drawing out the Chinese navy to fight on our terms. You think the Chinese are stupid enough to do it? And think about this...IN controls the Bay of Bengal and China has to cross the Malacca straits to engage us. Their airforce have to fly all the way from mainland to reach here over different countries. You are talking about WAR not a video game.

And think about the International Isolation China will face and loss of credibility about their 'peaceful rise' policy. and It will further push all their other powerful neighbors into US camp and make Russia more skeptical....above all they will lose one of their largest trade partners into US arms. (India has a $100 bil trade with China in favor of China)
