India has designed , constructed and operated large FSS before. .Meanwhile Turkey has operated ZERO such ships...let alone designed.
This has to be some joke.
Exactly, MOD must be high on something while giving this deal to an enemy country.

Ok. Here comes the weird ass observation. For our Frigates we are using CODAG Propulsion method where a Diesel and Marine Gas Turbine working together.

In Nigiri Class Frigate - We have LM 2500+ and MAN Diesel Engine. The MAN Diesel engine a power output of 7500 HP approx. Now surprisingly we have another sector where we have large diesel engines are being used.

INDIAN RAILWAYS

We have diesel engines of output up to 6500 HP. If somehow possible we can try to use this Diesel engines as Marine propulsion units. This will encourage to utilize existing tech within India and also may help some companies to setup proper marine Diesel engine ecosystem.

Experts can shed some light.

2. INS Vagir will be accepted by IN this month and will be commissioned next month.
3. Nilgiri class will start getting commissioned from 2023 onwards.
4. 45 warships are under construction.
5. Contract for 39 warships will most probably signed next year.

39 warships signed in the next 1 year? 8 goes to NGCs, and 6 for NGMVs. Where did the remaining 25 come from?

Back in 90's. There is something called cost evaluation of a project. INS Aditya was a 24k ton displacement oiler whereas IN is looking at double of that now. Means after more than 2 decades, we have to reinvent the wheel along with a huge investment.
Fun fact is, the tender was in buy global category and none of Indian shipbuilder responded to it.

No i mean other submarines s4, s5 class and ssn project
Not getting any update on that
S4 has already been launched, either in final outfitting phases or sea trials.
S5 class is a black project, continuation of the ATV project, its supposed to begin construction in 2023, that is the only known thing about it.
SSN project is another black project
