Adding numbers , shivalik class is not going anywhere anytime soon

Ya'll Nibbiars replacement for the Three godavari class frigate but we are adding numbers with four Talwar class and four Nilgiri class. And plus 12 NGC which are moving fast as they are based on the Nilgiri but are larger.

Ya'll Nibbiars three Bharmpautra class frigate and three Talwar class would not be replaced by the NGC but another class that will replace these frigates in latest 30's.

Ya'll Nibbiars almost the size of the Kolkata class. Yeah as the size of the destroyers has increase to the Super Destroyer class due to the need of the sea based ABM and may be the MRBM. The Frigates have taken more role of the air defense I would not be surprised if the NGF aka project 28 A are even bigger than the Kamorta class corvettes.

Ya'll Nibbiars once the Rajput class were the monster of Asia the largest Guided Missile destroyesr when commissioned. And now they are even smaller than the Talwar class, Shayadri class, Nilgiri class or even the NGF class Frigates. The Soviets Cruiser commissioned in the 60's are now the size of a smaller frigate class. The size and designations changes as per needs and capabilities.

Ya'll Nibbiars the in the 1971 The Indian Navy had 13 frigate in service.

Ya'll Nibbiars later in the 80's to early 2000's The Indian Navy operated 12 Frigates. And now we have we have 13 frigates in service. In the 2014, IN operated 15 frigates. But due to the delays in the Planning phase if the Project 17 A cause the numbers to be reduced.
