If Army really wants light utility vehicle they should replace Maruti gypsy with something like the Land Rover Defender and in the section of MPV/Armored Vehicles the Army needs more vehicles like Kalyani M-4.

Why the M4 has smaller windshield armored glasses which would be relatively harder to target
But The windshield on Mahindra is very broad to say the least

Different designs by different companies!! But for Light Strike Vehicle for tactical view/purposes might be the reason for higher field of view for surveillance.

That is the GAZ Tigr, a Russian 4x4 highly mobile IFV, not Kalyani M4.
Apparently the Tigr was evaluated by Indian Army back in 2008
