Thanks ISRO for making me see this Indian success, for making me feel proud being an Indian, for reinforcing my faith and for making me feel Happy..

I vividly remeber that poster by Trinity on the day of the launch which read " Ham Honge Kaamyaab Ek Din....... Poora hai Bisaas ...."

And look, You have done it ..

Poora tha Biswas ..... Jai Hind

A day to reckon in the annals of space history. India made it the first time... congrats to all the scientists who worked behind the mission... jai Hind!!
(sigh) if only they shared the secret of getting it right the first time with DRDO.... (sigh)
Sigh.... Ah the D O D O .......

Their success has the rate of "Reservations" .... No one amogst them can make to ISRO ...... and why should they make to ISRO when they are paid more without any results . they are propagandists and manipulators filling up goverment jobs based on resrvations.

Mature post, thanks. Except for a few, most Pakistanis and even Chinese seem happy. All the bile and venom comes only from the civilized west. We must be happy that our neighbours are mature enough to congratulate us instead of resenting our success.
Now is the right time to come out of your false flag mask. :truestory:

ISRO succeeds because they need no one to accept their inventions before putting them to use.. ISRO operates and uses most of its end products (not commercial sattelites), and it learns from mistakes. ISRO has what we can say 'combat experience' and feedback.

DRDO's things need to be certified by end users before even putting them to proper use.. And hence DRDO has all the pressure on it. DRDO has no 'combat experience' but only feedback from user trials and testing.. U need to pitch Tejas and Arjun etc against their foreign counterparts in actual combat and only then can u know what we have made..

And we can't expect something to be made within years what others have researched for decades.. U can't expect a Maven or curiosity from ISRO right yet.. In the same way u can't expect an F-18 or an Abrams or a trident-II from DRDO right yet.. First we send MOM and learn from it. First we need to induct Tejas and then learn from it..

And Don't forget failures of GSLV from ISRO and success of Agni-V or other DRDO inventions. success or failure we just have to back our scientists because we just don't know a thing about it.

And ya I'm against reservation ;-)

It seems the uk is jealous on India's success. it is like the rocket moved, the fire came out of their a55.
Typical yet common human behavior. They ruled us, looted us, ruined us and we managed to stand up against all odds even we are ahead of them in many fields, this is what they are finding difficult to digest and causing butt pain.

Very much, welcome buddy and join the users. After all they are not from Mars and nothing should hinder a scientist or an enginneers from joining the Army, Airforce or Navy to feel as users. That has been suggested many a times but why should one leave his/her cosy airconditioned room and roam around in Glacier. If user did not have higher things at stake they would be happy to be your gunie pigs that you experiment on. Unfrtunately your users firstly have their lives at stake and more than that defense of the country at stake. They need the best available and affordable to be the winners under their conditions. It is rather unfortunate that DRDO takes them as the captive market and captive users as experimentors.

No one expects DRDO to go to mars but deliver a projectile only 30 km away. That is not a big deal. Is it. When did ISRO start and when did DRDO start ? What has been their budget and what has been the budget of DRDO ? How is the manpower and facilities comparable ?

You say Agni ?? Do not we all know that it is a ISRO byproduct ? Do not place crdit where it does not lie.

Who has stopped DRDO from making a product and then stand in compition with the product of same category internationally? ISRO has exhibited a product at 1/10 of the NASA cost delivering same result. You give a artillary piece internationally comparable at 1/10 of the price and there would be no user to reject it. BHEL offers a trainer more costlier that Hawk and so much inferiror then why should user accept that ?

Your users have their goals, aims and ojectives set for them. ISRO are producers and users hence they can not play around like DRDO does. Why should DRDO produce good things if they themselves are not users ? That is the big disconnect.

So convert this "Resrvationist" work force into users, I would say - if that is the disconnect.

What are you talking about? CNN IBN channel correspondent introduces himself at Times Square as from CNN International.
and there lies the problem this nation faces as of today

Since we relying the USA communication systems between earth and MOM. Are they able to look and view and review what we are doing - is encryption is being used. Also will they have the right to decipher and remove items before they reach us (e.g. MAVEN we get no information). Seems USA got a free system and analysis and free ride.

Its good USA is helping make no mistake about that and that needs to be emphasize going ahead and it would be great to have more partnership(s). Probably thinking too much. It is a big technological achievement to do what we did on first attempt.
