Is it sarcasm or u really wanna say that?? If you really wanna say that, precisely this is the kind of Randi rona I wanna see from Librandus, if the final suit is in saffron, but alas it is white. First ever cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin also wore a Orange suit, even NASA space shuttle astronauts including Kalpana Chawla wore Orange suits and possibly Orion crew may also wear a Orange suit

Sokol is not EVA suit. Its for IVA. Yet its white.
yes suit used for any activity is white. survival suits are orange

in zero gravity environment humans tend to get lazy , goal is to shame orange suit astronauts to be more productive members of society.it was idea originally invented by Nazi scientist Von Braun.

Why even do that? GoI have huge swathes of land in Challekere (tens of thousands of acres) which it has already allocated to ISRO along with DRDO, BARC and IISc. The work has even been tendered IIRC.

I understand the rehabilitation center of astronauts in Gujarat but let HSFC stay in Karnataka.

Landing in Gujarat was not meritorious as place always had narrow straits. It was nothing more than a pathetic political stupidity from BJP.
Ideal place is somewhere at coasts of Bay of Bengal. Andhra or Odisha.

will launch two unmanned missions next year before the human spaceflight programme 'Gaganyaan' by the end of 2022, Union Minister Jitendra Singh said on Thursday. Sharing the status of other space projects, Singh -- during the Question Hour in the Rajya Sabha -- said the Venus mission is planned for 2022, while the Solar Mission for 2022-23 and that of the Space Station by 2030.
Singh, the Minister of State in the Department of Space, said space projects have been delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. "In the next year, we are going to have two unmanned missions before flying the Gaganyaan. That is also in the planning. That is usually the SoP (Standard Operating Procedure) which is followed. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, it got delayed," he said.
In the beginning of next year possibly, India will first launch unmanned missions ahead of Gaganyaan towards the end of 2022, he said, adding that it would be accompanied with robots that have been named as 'Vayumitra'. "Following that, we will possibly in 2023 have Gaganyaan which will undoubtedly place India in the elite club of nations being the fourth one after the US, China and Russia," he added.
The minister further said the Gaganyaan programme will be different from other human missions undertaken by other countries in the sense that this will be more cost effective and inclusive. This programme will place India as a frontline nation and will also improve the country's capabilities as far as its robotic missions are concerned, he said and added that this will also inspire youngsters and start-ups.
Besides the Gaganyaan programme, the minister said, "We are going to have a number of other missions. We will have a Venus mission by 2023. Soon, we will have solar missions called 'Aditya Solar mission' planned for 2022-23." Chandrayana got delayed due to the pandemic and maybe it will be launched by next year, he said.
"By 2030, we will possibly be able to set up a space station, which will be unique of its kind," he noted, adding that the journey of India's ascent to the top has already begun through the space route. Replying to a supplementary query if ISRO has identified 17 technologies at lower cost from start-ups for use in Gaganyaan mission, the minister said, "There are going to be several research modules accompanying the Gaganyaan and it will involve start-ups and more than 500 industries". For the first time since the country's Independence, private industry will be involved in space technology, he said.
"As a result of which, we now are going to have a number of partnerships for nano satellites trying to put in their mission in collaboration with ISRO," he said. Host technologies can be innovated in a wide range of areas involving the industry, which pave the way for the newer economy getting generated through the medium of space technology, he added. The minister also informed the Upper House that India has so far launched 42 foreign satellites from 34 countries and generated a revenue of USD 56 million (one million is equal to 10 lakhs).

India's maiden space mission, Gaganyaan, will be launched in 2023, Science & Technology Minister Dr Jitendra Singh said on Thursday. In reply to a question in the Rajya Sabha, the minister said that India’s maiden human space mission will soar to the skies in 2023, making the country the fourth nation in the world to launch a human spaceflight mission after the US, Russia and China.
Meanwhile, the test vehicle flight for the validation of Crew Escape System performance and the first uncrewed mission of Gaganyaan are scheduled at the beginning of the second half of 2022.
"This will be followed by the second uncrewed mission at the end of 2022 carrying “Vyommitra” a spacefaring human-robot developed by Isro and finally the first crewed Gaganyaan mission in 2023," he said.
Noting the impact of successive lockdowns on the work around the mission, the minister said that the program got slightly delayed due to Covid restrictions, but preparations are now in full swing to achieve the mission by 2023. He said that the objective of the Gaganyaan programme is to demonstrate the capability to send humans to low earth orbit (LEO) onboard an Indian launch vehicle and bring them back to earth safely.
The spacesuits, crew seats and viewports will soon be delivered from Russia as activities related to the development of microgravity experiments have commenced.
"More than 500 industries are involved in the launch of Gaganyaan with several research modules including an indigenous health research module. This was made possible as for the first time in 70 years, the sector has been unlocked for private participation to make India a competitive space market," the minister told the Rajya Sabha.
DEVELOPMENTS SO FAR
While the training of the four Indian Air Force Officers has already entered a crucial stage both in India and in Russia, the Centre is establishing The astronaut training facility at Bengaluru, which is in the advanced stage of completion. The Basic aeromedical training and flying practice has been completed as part of the Indian leg of the astronaut training.
All system designs for the Ganganyaan mission have been completed and the realisation of various systems are in different stages of progress. The minister said that the ground qualification tests of launch vehicle propulsion stages have been already commenced and successfully progressing.
"The configuration and design of ground infrastructure has been completed and modifications needed are being implemented. The MoU, contracts and Implementation arrangement (IA) related activities with both national and international agencies are progressing well," the minister added.
