There are 20 other slums each just as big and even more filthy than Dharavi in the Greater Mumbai region. The indian state is incapable of demolishing them or preventing more slums to come up, so they will be fine.

I have seen this place countless times from the mankhurd flyover. Its on the route to vidyavihar from Mankhurd ,the dump ground , it looks like a hill chain rising out of the ground.
I swear its a sea of shanties and huntments, and ofcourse hundreds and hundreds of muslim religious flags etc etc .

As the eminent thinker keep saying Dharvi is a living breathing economy how does one compensate for the business being closed down.
That slum generate $1 billion in economic output, that might become $5-10 billion when it gets redeveloped or even higher. There is more good in removing it, people should get an idea that you should migrate to cities only if you're able to get a job, and a home else stay wherever you are. The state allows slums and thats why these immigrants think they can flock in trillions everywhere in the cities and live like subhumans for earning a few extra bucks creating problems for others.

India plans to offer cash subsidies, lower taxes and other incentives to bolster shipbuilding industry. The plans include subsidies so that at least 50 new vessels can be built as well as the granting of "infrastructure status" to the industry.

PLI for shipbuilding

Well a couple of things:
(1) if the FDA (even on trivial grounds) blocks certain factories then you cannot ship product from then to the US market. Also the FDA will with-hold new product approvals until the issue is resolved. Both actions lead to a big loss
(2) Many countries do not have their own well staffed regulatory agency and follow the FDA lead. So more loss
(3) It seems that FDA inspectors can get vindictive (on their own, or US deepstate pressure, or foreign deepstate pressure through the US agents)... so additional issues

So FDA and EMEA (EU) et al are GOD as far as a private company is concerned.

Even India mostly FDA lead (e.g. ban of Vioxx a COX-2 inhibitor in 2004 by FDA lead to an almost simultaneous ban in India). It was actually a Fabulous drug but trial lawyers in the US claimed that it caused a small increase in cardiovascular incidents... which it did in a roundabout way ... normal NSAIDs (Aspirin, Ibuprofen etc) are slightly protective and when comparing against Vioxx there is a slight increase for Vioxx

So a big loss for those in need of that pain relief. India could have done its own thing... and can still bring it back...but no
For the good of the long term future, Indian Pharma must go its own way and tell the FDA to fuck off and concentrate on its own market and other markets that are not slaves to FDA. Only then the FDA will get the message.

$100 billion in FDI and $100 billion in remittances will cover the trade deficit. However, just imagine we instead balanced the trade or ran a modest trade surplus. That $100 billion FDI + $100 billion remittances will provide a huge injection of cash into the economy. It's literally additional $200 billion circulating within the economy which will have a ripple effect on many sectors and boost GDP growth.
Most of the trade deficit comes from buying fuel abroad and most of the remittances come from the Gulf States. So it is like a roundabout thing. We buy oil from them and they spend the money on our workers doing the work for them. So six up and six down.

my advice would to refrain from getting dragged into this, the chap is writing one liner rhetorics and you are responding with coherent thought. there is a mismatch, usually such discussions go around in circles without conclusion.
Why not ban him for a couple weeks and teach him to modify his behavior?

Brothers how true is this ?

This is modinics. Put all the basics right. Reduce redtapism. Concentrate on groen and not on subsidy and create the best atmosphere for business to flourish. I foresee unprecedented 3 decades of growth with India touching new heights difficult to imagine in current scenario. World will be handicap without India in coming decade. They will not be able to run their country without India and Indians. We shall see China and Europe getting marginalised by India.

You never know. If he goes all in and is fully committed, it may have a chance of being pulled off. Or it could be the one thing that sends him off to the gallows.
