Seeking incentives from the government, the Services Export Promotion Council (SEPC) on Friday said services exports have been recording healthy growth rate consistently and are expected to grow by 28 per cent in 2021-22 to take the exports to nearly USD 266 billion.

Services Export Promotion Council (SEPC) Chairman Maneck Davar said that in the first quarter of 2021, the exports stood at USD 54 billion.

The increased growth can be attributed to the promising growth figures by sectors such as professional and management consulting services, audio visual and related services, freight transport services, telecommunications, computer and information services during the time of pandemic, he said.

"This performance would be better and sustainable if the government continues to incentivise the sector," Davar said.

He suggested for notification of SEIS (services exports from India scheme) 2019-20 and announcement of new foreign trade policy without further delay to remove the uncertainties in the minds of exporters.

"The government would need to focus on access and cost of capital, giving industry recognition for few of the sectors, and provide preferential market development grants to expand into new verticals such as charges for intellectual property rights, financial services, entertainment services education, and healthcare," he added.

GDP of much hyped Gautam Buddh Nagar District was only 19.5 billion dollars (10% of GDP of Uttar Pradesh) in 2019-20 in spite of so much of investment from the central government GDP of Gautam Buddh Nagar district was lower than Patna (21.5 billion dollars) which gives 26% of the GDP of Bihar
I don’t know what kind of success is this 😂

Why were you expecting GDP of GB Nagar to be more than patna.
GB Nagar has only Noida and part of Gr Noida as Industrial and IT Hub.
Area wise both cities are much much smaller than Big Capital city like Patna.
If you want fair comparison and then compare with Lucknow or National Capital Delhi.

I heard Nitin Gadkari tallking about developing industrial townships and port lead development in Varanasi and Sahibganj along the multimodal terminals which has been built
freight villages are also being built in these towns apart from that the eastern dedicated freight corridor is also passing close to multimodal terminals in Varanasi and Sahibganj different modes of transportation are getting interconnected for seamless freight transportation to Kolkata and Haldia port
Don’t you think Varanasi and Sahibganj have more potential in comparison to Noida or Gurgaon?

apparently today is national handloom day, so here’s my contribution.

always felt that those pillars on the right at Hyderabad house can be draped with handloom cloth (treated with fire resistant chemicals of course) , change the cloth for every diplomatic event.
colour is an uniquely Indian and Asian heritage.
