When local population for whom these guys are fighting, gets sick of them and starts passing on information to authorities quietly, it's dangerous sign for a resistance.... to maintain motivation level of your employee's & potential employees, you spread rumor that these guys were useless and they were let go............... another way to look at it :biggrin2:

Operation All-Out 2 will target Kashmir’s top 14 terrorists

The Centre will launch Operation All-Out Part 2 in Jammu and Kashmir to target top 14 commanders of terrorist outfits like Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) and Tehreek-ul-Mujahideen.

According to sources, 250 terrorists are active in the state. A hit list containing names of terrorists like Zeenat-ul-Islam alias Alkama, LeT’s Shopian divisional commander; Wasim AH alias Osama, LeT’s Shopian district commander and Showkat AH Tak alias Huzaifa, LeT’s Pulwama district commander has been prepared, according to intelligence sources.

The list, which is available with India Today, also contains names of Umar Bhai, LeT’s Baramulla district commander; Dada Bhai, LeT’s Anantnag district commander and Mohd. Bin Qasim, HM’s operational commander.

Under Operation All-Out, a joint offensive of the Army, CRPF, Jammu and Kashmir Police, BSF, and IB launched in the second half of 2017, 39 terrorists, including 23 of foreign origin, have been killed so far this year.

The number of terrorists eliminated also includes 14 members of JeM, 11 LeT members and 6 of Hizbul Mujahideen.

Lieutenant General (retired) and defence expert Shankar Prasad feels that though 215-225 terrorists were eliminated under Operation All-Out last year, the strategy and approach to target militancy should be changed.

“The operation should be conducted only on intelligence inputs. Even local supporters of terrorists should be targeted,” he told India Today.

Major General (retired) and security expert PK Sehgal said, “If these 14 commanders are eliminated, it will be a big blow to these terror outfits. It will demoralise terror outfits and affect their recruitment.”

It is heartening to know that intel inputs have increased manifold. Shows that many Kashmiris are getting fed up of the violence and coming forward with some good actionable info which helped the forces to gun down 13 terrorists yesterday.

Separatist hardliner Asiya Andrabi has appealed to the Pakistan politico-terror establishment across the border, including to Hafiz Saeed, in an audio clip. She's asked for Pakistan to announce a 'black day' to draw attention to the killing of 13 terrorists by Indian security forces in three operations over the weekend.

Andrabi, who just last week celebrated Pakistan day at her residence where she's under house arrest, heads the separatist group Dukhtaran-e-Millat.

On Sunday, shortly after the Indian security forces' joint press briefing announcing the neutralisation of 8 (eventually 13) terrorists, Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs had attempted to spin the development against India by issuing a strongly-worded release titled "Pakistan condemns brutal use of force by India in IoK, resulting in Shahadat [martyrdom] of more than 11 innocent Kashmiris".

The truth of the matter, however, was that the terrorists killed were far from innocent. The counter-terror operations are said to have dealt a huge blow to the Hizb-ul-Mujahideen and the Lashkar-e-Taiba and two of the terrorists had been involved in the cowardly killing of Lt Ummer Fayaz in May 2017.

Pakistani politician Imran Khan who leads the PTI party has also joined in, writing "Strongly condemn the brutality of Indian forces against innocent Kashmiris and the killing of unarmed civilians in IOK. The people of Pak stand with the Kashmiris democratic struggle for self determination. The UNSC must act against Indian aggression in IOK."

Recoveries comprising AK-47 and AK-74 rifles were made from the slain terrorists. In one case, the forces had even allowed the family of a terrorist to appeal to him to surrender. Instead, he opened fire. They were hardly unarmed, as Khan claims.

Imran Khan's statement, coming just months before the country's general elections, follows and mirrors several others by the ruling government in Pakistan that aim to install the halo of innocence on terrorists.

A joint news briefing by security forces was conducted on Sunday following what is being described as one of the biggest ever crackdowns on terror in the Valley.

"Today, is a very special day for counter-terror operations in the valley for all forces", Lieutenant General AK Bhatt, GOC 15 Corps said.

In night-long operations, eight terrorists were neutralised, the Nation was informed. Two operations have concluded while the third is still ongoing at Kachidora, Shopian.

Furthermore, two of the terrorists who have been killed were involved in the killing of braveheart Lt. Ummer Fayaz in May. The successes came at a cost, however, as two Army Jawans were martyred in the operations.

"My appeal to the young people in Kashmir would be to not get carried away by Pakistan and its proxies and be led into the path of violence", Lt Gen Bhatt said before handing the briefing to the DGP SP Vaid of the J&K Police.

"I want to make a special mention of the encounter in Anantnag where our SSP made a special effort. He called the family members of the terrorists. (The family) had a talk for 30 minutes with him to surrender, leave the weapon and come. Unfortunately, he didn't heed the words of his family and fired his weapon. The police and forces had no option but to retaliate and he was killed. The other one we caught alive without harming him. I don't think at any part of the world the Police, Army and CRPF would do operations in the human manner in which it was done here."

"We unfortunately had two Army Jawans martyrs in the Kachidora operations. We had injuries to police, Army and CRPF Jawans. Unfortunately, there was one civil casualty in Dargarh -- the house owner where 7 terrorists were killed. All 7 terrorists killed in Shopian's Dragad have been identified as locals and their bodies have been claimed by their kin."
