Lets use the clashes as cover and kill one of the preachers/co-ordinators in cold blood(no uniforms should be involved and make it look like he is dead during clashes). This should send strong message.

But the clashes are already between CRPF and the jihadis, so whatever dead body is left behind as a residue of the operation will be reported as 'one cleric killed during clashes with forces'.

If something has to be used as a cover, sunset works just fine. Everyone knows who the cleric is, where he lives. Darkness is your ally.

Most clerics are in bed with the establishment in one way or the other, either through the agencies or under the cover of quasi-separatist parties like the PDP. They are placed there to quack the quack but pass on critical information to the agencies. But some times the quacks fall in love with their own fairytales and start thinking of themselves as invincible and need to be given a dose.

In 2015 there was news of similar protests breaking out after Friday prayers. The clerics were called in by the local government and given a verbal warning, still it continued. One fine day, someone kept a tea glass outside a mosque on a Friday. They had pulled the pin of a grenade and inverted it over the glass so the glass held the trigger mechanism from setting off. Some peaceful came out after prayers and picked up the glass, and the grenade went off.

The clerics got the message and Friday drama subsided after this incident. Now it has begun again.

This Friday drama only starts when some upstart in the intel agencies says 'let's not use a heavy hand, let them protest and burn things, it acts as a pressure valve'. Our CRPF takes the brunt of this pressure valve. Unless the CRPF stands up to the peacenicks in South Block coming up with fancy terms like 'strategic restraint', this will not be solved.

i don't know why but i am starting to believe theory that musa is doval's man. close to 11 pigs have been neutralized in last 8 days. that cannot happen without help from the inside. close to 40-45% of the jihadis active in kashmir have been eliminated. by next january, i expect the remaining to be eliminated as well and then you will see the major plan being revealed in the run up to general elections, which would be to take out the leadership of the hurriyat for not espousing the cause of shariah. my guess is it would all end in musa mysteriously dying or maybe being "killed" near a riverbed and army would say we could not retrieve his body. :bounce:

unfortunately, if this conspiracy theory is true, india would suffer some casualties in the process so musa's supporters would still have faith in him.
