Seems like the driver compartment of the truck is especially vulnarable to 7.62*39 mm bullets fired from AK47 by the terrorist. It is probably the ASI was sitting to the left of the driver from where the terrorist launched the attack and ASI died on spot whereas the driver later succumed to the injuries at the Base hospital. the main compartment of the truck which housed most CRPF soldiers seems was not affected much. i really don't understand how many times jawans need to pay the price for convoy attacks due to non bulletproof vehicles.
Also why was such a vehicle part of the road opening party?
