Out of the 800 terrorists killed in 1990-91, my battalion alone killed 96, plus 142 weapons of all types and a ton of explosives! :cool3: And Radio sets, brand new winter thermal jackets made in Israel, scores of grenades etc! I still have one Israeli thermal jacket as remembrance!! :)

We killed Ashraf Dar too who was Hizb No 2 and had just infiltrated from Pak to take over command in the Valley, after a long chase. Three of his body guards were gunned down too. There were more than 2 lakh Kashmiris who attended his funeral and the Valley was shut down for a week after this!

And the best part is that there was not a single casualty on our side in the two years we were there expect for a small splinter injury from an RPG to one of our jawans!

You wouldn't believe it, but some of the company commanders had a reward of Rs 5 lakhs on their heads. So pissed off were these yahoos with my battalion!! Lol!

Heck, man! Those were the days!
Wow sir ! Which regiment ?

Six militants were killed as a major infiltration bid was foiled by the Indian Army in Uri sector of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday. “In the last 48 hours, infiltration attempts have been foiled at the Gurez, Machhil, Naugam and Uri sectors. Seven armed intruders have been eliminated so far,” said the army in a statement.

The Army statement said the intruders were being provided active support, including covering fire (heavy calibre artillery) by Pakistani army posts on the LoC to assist them to enter the Kashmir Valley. Efforts to sanitise the area are being conducted by the security forces.

According to a PTI report, the total number of infiltrating militants killed over the last three days in various sectors has gone up to 12 after today’s operation. An army official said that a counter-infiltration operation was going on in Uri since yesterday after the troops observed movement of militants trying to sneak into the valley from across the border.

Earlier on May 26, two Pakistani Border Action Team(BAT) members who tried to infiltrate into Uri sector in Baramulla district to carry out an attack on the soldiers were killed by the Army. In the present year, a total of 43 militants have been killed and the Army has been successful in preventing 23 infiltration attempts along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir.

SS Khaplang (Centre)
Militant leader SS Khaplang, who was the chief of National Socialist Council of Nagaland (NSCN)'s K faction died today.

Khaplang is the mastermind of several attacks on the Army in the past few years in the North East. He was in the core team of insurgency operations of NSCN since inception.

NSCN was started by Khizu demanding separation of Nagaland. The demand persisted but they parted ways. SS Khaplang started another faction and so did P Muivah.

NSCN ( IM ), the Muivah faction, is presently in ceasefire with government of India, while Khaplang is the rebel faction.

Khaplang was in Myanmar and will be cremated late in the night.

Rot in hell khaplang.

Its funny porkis called DGMO to cool down the LC and in the meantime they were planning a coordinated attack from 4 different sectors; URI, Machhil, Gurez and Naugam. Bravo :clap2:. Glad that IA did not fall for such obvious trap.
De-escalation during Ramzan my ass. Instead we must do a SS during their holiest days.
