I also think there has been quid pro quo deal between Paki and Saud over this. Pakis might have asked this as one of the "price" Saud has to pay for her jernail's services in gulf. India will reject again. It never agreed to these dogs in 90's, never will now

As a matter of "behavior"...the pakis and the asses in ME uses the "CONNECTIONS" to get a pull on things...like how they tried to do in ICJ case (Jadhav) via a middle east contact to influence ICJ decision.

So such a situation can be employed here too, as Sauds more than playing a global patrol via its acquired position in UNHRC will try to play what they CAN Achieve by that position in UNHRC as the KINGS man

These "kingdoms" shouldnt be allowed to run positions in " UN offices", unless they have a democracy with elections and a proper sovereign govt with all human rights including that for women.

The current UNHRC cheap should look into Saudi political debate and see what they are debating on..which is weather to LET women DRIVE a car!!!v:pound::pound::pound:
So much for HUMAN RIGHTS!!!!

UNHR CHIEF SEEKS ACCESS TO J&K,WARNS INDIA THAT DENIAL WILL LEAD TO "Remote Monitoring"

The United Nations human rights chief has again sought access in to the territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

Reiterating his request for “unconditional access” of his office to the troubled regions of India-administered Jammu and Kashmir and Pakistan-administered Kashmir, the UN rights body chief has warned that the denial of access will eventually lead to “various forms of remote monitoring” by his office and making the reports public.

India, at the peak of 2016 public uprising in Kashmir had denied grant of permission to such a mission. However, Pakistan had opened its gates on the condition that India allows the UN mission to visit J&K.

In a strongly worded statement, he said, “Despite repeated high-level requests to India and Pakistan, permission for my staff to have unconditional access to both sides of the Line of Control in India-administered Jammu and Kashmir and Pakistan-administered Kashmir has still not been granted,” said Zeid Ra’ad al-Hussein.

Al-Hussein is the UN high commissioner for human rights. On Tuesday, he was addressing opening session of a three-week UN Human Rights Council (HRC).

“…and we continue to receive reports of increasing violence, civilian casualties, curfews and website blackout,” the UN high commissioner for human rights added.

Indeed a Good news.

On very intel of terrorist hideout, ask these UNHRC guys to approach the terrorist to surrender. If they fail to do so, kick their butt. Similarly, deploy some of them in infiltration monitoring room and task them to stop it with reasoning with the terrorists. deploy them in infiltration control job. 3 months of spring 3 months in Monsoon and 6 Months in snow, UNHRC will come to know.. Get them into terms and pay them salary for the job. 12 months in a raw.

Bakis will stop infiltration and Indian intel will eliminate all Tangos keeping UNHRC in front.

The UNHRC are just paper pushers.
If they could do anything anywhere half the war in this would would not have happened and there wont be any HR crisis in this world what so ever.

India should stick to the guns and neutralize the terrorists and do what ever it possibly can to bring J&K under control by mooning the UNHRC on its face as India does have tonnes of proof on pakis cross border terrorism and cash influx into India for aiding terrorism siding with china.

Pakistan an Illegal Occupant in Kashmir: India at UNHRC

At the 35th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council, India highlighted Pakistan’s role in supporting terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir.

India's Permanent Representative at the United Nations Rajiv K Chander said that Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India and Pakistan remains in illegal occupation of it. Therefore, the neutrality of the phrase ‘Indian-administered Jammu & Kashmir’ is artificial.

An Army officer, a civilian and three United Liberation Front of Asom (Independent) cadres were killed in an encounter that took place near Lapa village under Tizit sub-division of Mon district late Tuesday evening, official sources said. Three army jawans were also injured in the encounter.

The deceased army officer was identified as Major David Manlun of the 2nd Naga Battalion attached to 164 Territorial (H&H) Army Battalion. The ULFA (I) cadres were identified as Bhonenpro (2nd Lieutenant), Bipul Asom (31), Dikam Konwar (26) and the civilian, reportedly an auto driver was identified Rajendra Gupta (50).

Sources said that at around 10.40 p.m. Tuesday night, based on a tip-off, a combined team of 164 TA, 12 Para commandos and 35 Assam Rifles trailed the fully armed ULFA cadres who were reportedly travelling in two autorickshaws. The encounter broke out as soon as the joint team came across the militants. In the ensuing encounter, Major David Manlun of 164 TA was martyred and three jawans of the 12 para commandos sustained injuries. Three ULFA (I) cadres were also killed during the encounter including the autodriver while the other militants reportedly fled from the scene in the other autorickshaw, sources said.

The injured army personnel were airlifted to Military Hospital, Jorhat.

The vehicle (gypsy) in which the army team was travelling was riddled with bullets  while the autorickshaw in which the militants were travelling was seized.

Police sources, however, said that they are yet to confirm the link between the auto driver and the ultras.
One AK 47 rifle, two M-69 rifle, nine magazines, 271 rounds of 7.62 mm, six rounds of 5.56 mm, two Chinese make grenades, one knife, four mobile handsets and other personal belongings, including medicines and food items were recovered during the search operation after the encounter. Army sources said that the militants had sneaked in from Myanmar into Mon district to carry out attacks against army personnel. A major search operation has been launched to nab fleeing militants, army officials said.

Meanwhile, the body of Major David Manlum was flown to Shillong for the last rites.

PRO IGAR (N) claimed that the cadres belonged to a joint group of NSCN (K) and ULFA (I). After receiving inputs, PRO said security forces launched an operation and were in the process of establishing a mobile check post when the armed terrorists travelling in an autorickshaw sped past. On being pursued the militants opened fire on the security forces, PRO added.
