Soon after the news about the killing of two Hizb militants Sabzar Ahmad and Faizan Ahmad spread, most parts of the south Kashmir observed shutdown and started protests. Reports said that clashes between protesters and forces erupted in Anantnag, Khanabal, Pulwama, Pampore, Tral and Kakapora areas. Shopkeepers also pulled down their shutters in Bijbehara town. Sources said that schools were immediately closed in most parts of the south Kashmir where situation is very tense.

Students clash with forces in Amar singh College, Sgr || Soon after the news of top militant commander Sabzar Bhat's killing spread in the valley, scores of students of Amar Singh took to streets and started pelting stones on forces. Forces in return lobbed tear gas shells to disperse the agitated youth. Clashes continued at the time of filing this report.
