but SF is using trauma plates?Plus how is the stoppage of ak bullet by western helmets?which is the best in the league which helps reduce trauma also?
Marcos & SPG..

There are none..

So how the hell that patka helmet could protect the fragile brain from internal damage , The AK bullet may not penetrate the fore head but person 'll die of the impact . I think thats the reason no other country's army use Patka type jugad
they are wearing bullet proof metal plates on there fore head & calling it BF helmets .
You missed the text in the link abt patka:

PROTECTION : The Armour Steel strip in the front protects the forehead by defeating fire of 7.62x39mm (AK-47 family of weapons) from a distance of 10 metres. The remaining circumference of the head is protected against fire of 9mm family of weapons from distance of 10 metres. The trauma pads provided can absorb the shock/trauma in the event of bullet hit.
Lot better than any in this regard..

Human body absorb mostly, some time it can break you neck but you will survive to fight another day :)

Captured AKM with Suppressor + Grenade Launcher + 45Rnd Mag + Folded Butt..

Inspector General Border Security Force (BSF) J.B Negi, left, shows an AK-47 rifle allegedly seized from militants to the media as other officers look on, at a BSF camp on the outskirts of Srinagar, India, Monday, Sept.12, 2005. India has pulled out all of the approximately 9,000 paramilitary soldiers deployed in Kashmir's main city, Srinagar, replacing them with armed police, Negi said Monday. (AP Photo/Mukhtar Khan)

Think the pukes have been making some improvisation on the AK's for it to be multi-purpose for the Aathankvadi pukes......

I am not sure if that is a Pakistani mod. The USSR also experimented with the one below. It could be a Chinese mod.

one thing like about the Paks is their ingenuity with weapons, specially rifles.

sir are those laser aimer effective ??? did you get any red dot ??

as shown here
No we were not issued red dot sights. The laser aimer was issued based on the principal that when you point a finger at an object you are automatically aiming at it, so a laser aimer helps to acquire a target fast when firing from the hip in split second encounters. The sight had a wire attached to a switch strapped to the forehand guard to activate the laser. The picture posted in post #327 does not show the wire and switch.

No buddy, I would have loved a thermal sight on my weapon. We would have taken out so many mikes if we had thermal sights.
