There is good that RR is using modern plate carriers with pouch integrated and there is bad that is in black color not in camouflage....
Off course they use camouflage version too .

No RR only had these Black plate carriers cum tactical vest, if you have any camo pic then share.

I've seen somewhere that Indian PVT sector companies also export modern BPJ to other countries, whereas our forces are equipped with these old plate carriers.

Even a civilian can have a tactical vest and put a metal plate in it.

I order this vest from ebay @ Rs 3000 and i can put metal plate of any thickness i want, at dirt cheap prize, enough to stop most of ammo barring few high caliber ones.

We should have something like this which is capable of burning camera lenses and internal circuitry. Just plant the operators of such portable systems in windows where no one can see them. Whenever a sickular journalists come there to record some atrocity footage for their agenda, just burn their lenses. They wouldn't know what hit them. Not only will they not have a footage, they will lose their expensive equipment. Or even simpler, just take an air gun (the kind used in fun-n-fair to shoot balloons) and shoot the camera lenses with the pellets. Or use EW jammers to stop the broadcast of all electronic communications. Turn the valley into a data dark zone, no recording, no transmitting, no streaming, nothing.

Otherwise the conventional option is always open, send Bakhra to the morgue, so we all know for sure where the buck has finally stopped.

This is not a permanent solution .
Simply put some rules and regulations over media .
They should also be punished for running anti national , anti social stories .
They should not allowed to make negetive माहौल in our country .

I notice the recovered Mortar is similar to Pak Army Captured 60 mm Mortar from Kargil War. There were other Captured 81 mm and heavy 120 mm as well.

Captured from kargil

This is a copy of Chinese type 63 and Pakis selling this as their own to jihadis and nations.

That saffron triangle signify that they are Sikh troops I've never seen it with Hindu Troops.

That is my opinion or what I heard from others.

Maybe it has extra curvature/space on the top to accommodate the extra hair? Basically the triangle denotes XL size patka.

Jugaadu IFF......
Yes - for Unit Commanders to Identify troop deployment. Tons of pictures with Troops with Red Markings as well.

Usually seen in Operations where multiple Units are being deployed. Easier for offsaar to manage battlefield.

Nothing to do with Religion. Colour IMO depends on troop rotation into a sector. I have seen Red Colour Markings as well a number of times. (although yellow and red is all that i have seen)

Non- Sikh Troops with Yellow Marking

They don't unless they are Mona.
So that means, during combat a Sikh MARCOS or Black Cat will not wear helmet ?? And will not be able to use helmet mounted NVG and such devices ?
Ultimately his accuracy will decrease in night operations and he will be somewhat more venerable to enemy fire .
Is it so ?

Another Pic of SIkh Troops (RR) with similar Patka.

Clearly the the front is different from normal Patkas, most probably designed for Sikh Troops.
They are unit/role markings (red and orange triangles are also used):

Why would the IA designate by religion? What role would that serve?

Sikhs are in all 3 SFs and the NSG and wear helmets just fine like any team mate (obviously if they have their faces covered then it's impossible to know they are Sikhs though).

The Patka was designed for Sikh troops as an alternative to te restrictive and uncomfortable "tin helmets" that were the stantard for all IA troops but it eventually became the standard CION helmet for the entire IA. Sikhs can wear modern kevlar/hardshell helmets just fine, they are designed to be far more accomadating and comfortable.

I've seen in one Garud commandos pic in which only one Sardarjee was without the helmet, rest of them had helmets.

You can still search it in SF thread.
