Families and women r not supposed to be taken to field areas. It's an army law yet the CO and 4 majors did so in clear disobedience! Can u tell me, Y a CO, who's supposed to uphold discipline, broke it? so y shud I trust their flimsy self-defense?
also, if the lady is innocent y was she shielded from appearing in front of the court? she can say the truth na? she changed her statement thrice...so why on earth shud I trust her statement just bcoz she is a woman?

Even if he "molested" her, then y was he beaten up? Okay, the husband will be angry and he beat him up but y did 3 other officers hit the guy? y didn't they hold the husband back? the CO who shud have ordered for arrest, then inquiry and calming the situation, instead aided these guys. They beat him up so bad he lost consciousness and threw him in freezing outdoor weather, that too at a forward area!
The Subedar Maj of the unit told the CO to allow him to take the jawan to the MH but didn't allow bcoz they will be in trouble for beating up the jawan. That's when the entire unit lost it. How cud they deny him medical treatment? Nirbhaya rapist was let out of jail just bcoz he was minor even after the monster tore out the girl's innards and pushed an iron rod inside her! Here, this guy is tortured based on mere allegations! They also charged abetting violence against the unconscious jawan!

My guess is this is procured to replace Soviet era BRDM-2 APCs currently in service. Which means Soviet equipment is being replaced by desi ones
