I know no vest or helmet is bullet proof from close range but that dam thing could not even stop hand gun round, but patka can stop ak rounds, please listen to chetan cheetah's interview, he narrated his entire incident
What I saw from that guys channel even the Chinese ones performed real bad in front of Desert Eagle. Helmets are mostly used for protection from sharpnel and rebounded bullets,etc.

Please look at this video

No helmet in the world stops direct close fire from AR period except Patka which is basically just a steel helmet.

A bullet may or may not kill a soldier depending upon firing distance, type of round, angle and elevation.

The soldier in the video was just lucky.
There are helmet better than ours but they cost more too and are generally reserved for SF.

Man, What they were thinking when they finalised this shitty helmet for our forces? thought terrorists would fire at our men using 22 cal, .38, ?. They are better off without this fancy helmet. Disgusting. Would request all our armed forces stationed at borders and COIn areas, please switch back to patka. Remeber CRPF commandant chetan cheetah's patka stopped 4 rounds from ak 47 from very close range.

Even the American helmets cannot survive AK-47 rounds

We need to stop making modern glass monstrosities and start building fusion architecture incorporating traditional Indian architecture with some modern features. This new building plan looks like some random mall. Taj hotel built in the 30's by Tata looks far better than any glass building. ITC Grand Chola in Chennai also looks amazing, because it follows traditional architecture.

I think the helmet worked nicely. When we compare it with Russian Chinese helmets.

Only fuckin Patka can stop AK-47 rounds :shock:
But if protection in patka was superior then why army went on with this helmet? View attachment 44174
Patka has weight issues - and it does not provide top protection, provides limited side & back protection. Only forehead protection is good

Future Wars: India’s first-ever unmanned war machine is here; To be tested soon
In an effort to ensure minimum casualties during the war, the Indian Army is getting ready to test out an unmanned vehicle next month. ‘SOORAN’ country’s first unmanned armoured vehicle, capable to fight on battlefields and be operated from a distance, has caught the interest of the Indian Army. “SOORAN is field-tested and ready to go for manufacturing. We are still upgrading its autonomous capabilities and working on documentation works,” Dennis Ebenezar, MD of a start-up Defence Master India Pvt Ltd, tells Financial Express Online. The tests will be done in Chennai next month for the Indian Army.

The tests next month which will be carried out next month is of significance, as Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) Gen Bipin Rawat in his interaction with the young Instrumentation &Control engineer had expressed interest in Project SOORAN during the DefExpo 2020.

The son of a retired schoolmaster, Ebenezar explains “The unmanned vehicle weighing around 500 kgs can be operated either through a control room or through a mobile phone. It has a mounted gun turret, and this too can be controlled remotely.”

More about SOORAN ::

It is multi-terrain vehicle.

Equipped with artificial intelligence and has a petrol engine.

Can be operated in three modes including teleoperated with remote, teleoperated from a mobile control station and through an autonomous mode.

This is possible through artificial intelligence ‘NIVATA’.

It also has onboard long-range cameras, high-end processors, controllers, sensors, power backup, etc.

Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) as well as other stakeholders have shown interest in this futuristic war machine.

For the future Digitised future warfare, he is working on Artificial Super Intelligence NIVATA, which is under development and testing. “NIVATA specially designed to take on terrorists hiding inside buildings,” he says.

“We have three ground and air combat systems are capable to conduct coordinated combat operation using Artificial Intelligence (AI) NIVATA, specially designed to take on terrorists hiding inside buildings. And besides ‘SOORAN’ which is Tele-operated Unmanned Combat Vehicle with Autonomous mode, there is ‘Sky Emperor’: Drone with a Gun. Remote controlled and Autonomous and ‘Scout Flies’ – a cluster of micro-drones used to destroy Specific targets using a small amount of chemical explosives loaded in it.”

“Scout Flies can also be used for mass ground search operations with facial and object recognition and is fully autonomous with pre-designed tasks,” says the man who has self-financed these projects.

“A demonstration is being scheduled for mid-April, where all the three combat systems will conduct a coordinated combat operation with help of NIVATA, with certain pre-designed assignments,” he adds.

numerous military experts have confirmed about pinaka mk3 but this trishul guy is saying some thing else is this true..
@porky_kicker
There’s no project to develop the Pinaka-3, since Russia will supply 120km-range rockets for the IA’s Smerch-M MBRLs. And such rockets can easily accommodate NavIC GPS receivers for precision navigation/terminal guidance.

again............ @porky_kicker
Yes, greater local investments are indeed necessary, but for that one will first have to construct wind-tunnels that can be used for optimising BVRAAM airframe designs. Are there such wind-tunnels available in India? No. The CSIR’s wind-tunnels are all trisonic while the DRDO had as far back as 2011 had claimed that a hypersonic wind tunnel facility will come up in Shamirpet about 35km from Hyderabad and that it will be useful in simulating hypersonic flight speeds (up to Mach 10, a Mach number is the speed of sound) on the ground in the facility. And last October it was claimed that this facility will be inaugurated ‘soon’. No new updates since then. And when all such costs are added up, a ‘desi’ ramjet-powered BVRAAM costs as much as an imported

Seems highly inaccurate India that does not have hypersonic wind tunnel.

3 supersonic and 2 hypersonic wind tunnels in IISC.
Who gave you this info?

The Trishul guy makes stories up in his blog. Not at all trustworthy. Only thing he does, is the take pictures from DRDO publications, websites, magazines and defence shows and watermark them. Nothing else.
that's why he lost many viewers.........
