The situation is very miserable . 114 dhunus artillery were ordered in 2018 . Only 12 guns have been delivered so far .... They were importing cheap chinese component with made in Germany tag .

Atags , mountain gun orders are not being given i dnt know why .

We have corrupt officers doing Q/A who knows how far up the chain the money goes. It is great that this thing was caught. Dhanush is a Bofors gun, for which we paid extra for the license to manufacture. In the name of Indigenization, a lot of money changes hands. If you do the calculation it is cheaper, faster & more efficient to buy these guns from Bofors.
The PSUs have been running this Indigenization scam forever to keep themselves relevant & make money on the side for the top brass. Just look at any deal that is made with PSUs, it always ends up costing much much more than if the equipment was imported from the supplier be it Tartra trucks, Sukhoi 30 MKI, Ak 203 rifle, etc.

Kalyani will finish the order in time par usme maja kahan hai. Our Military is used to a 3-year timeline being done in 5 years that too after the Army rants about delays, quality, blah, blah! Sometimes it appears that the relationship between PSUs (specially DRDO, OFB) & Army resembles that of a Saas-Bahu serial with the MoD babus acting as the bad outside influence.

Bharat 52 is based on gc45 designed in 1970s . Many improvements have been done with latest technology . There are many operators of this gun around the world . Specially in middle east . It might get export orders from middle east and Africa .
