Army’s Chetak Corps in Exercise Thar Shakti in Rajasthan deserts recently. Abt 20,000 troops with tanks, ICVs, arti guns & advanced sensors.

What personal weapons do armoured vehicle crews carry? Do all have pistols and carbines or are there in a 3 man crew 2 carbines and a pistol or some other combination?

well i heard Russian Tank crews have AKS-74U, may be same as them,
1 Pistol compulsory for a Tank Commander,
or may be only 2A1 Carbine is only suited in such small place...

India does not follow Russian model in this regard I am told.

Don't know about every major Railway station but I have seen dedicated line and a dedicated Ramp where Armour & Mechanized infantry units.

Also, the land around the line is owned by the Army not by Railway.

i have seen French Thales made Thermal imaging sights on a T-72,
but sorry, i'm not sure they are on small numbers or just few Upgraded Tanks..
i do not no about how many of numbers....

IA T-72 have ADT/Elop-Elbit thermal imaging Fire Control Systems.

Thermal imager is placed right to its main Gun covered with Protection lid.

You can see the Elbit/ADT TIFCS here. The IR illuminator is still retained though.

CVRDE had integrated the DRAWA-T with supposedly a Elbit TI as part of the CIA. IA inducted the CIA sans the TI.

Yes 1000 supplied, will probably be integrated as tanks undergo overhauls at 505 ABW and Avadi.
