Thank you for uploading the 1965 pictures. this brings back the memories from Halwara Air Force Station where my father was based. He was in signals branch with the Hunter and Gnat Squadrons. During my next visit, I plan to take my father for a visit to the station. He will be 90 years young man.

If, I am not wrong it was Wing number 9. His Wing Commander name was Wing Commander Kumar. He told us how they use to jump into bunkers and trenches when PAF jets came in to attack.
In order to divert the humiliation of 1965 Pakis created a myth of PAF superiority over IAF in 1965. Just like Pakis claim that they shot down Israelis and Soviet jets in various conflicts.
I would like to request the source of these photo and would like to get a better version of the group of pilots at Halwara Air Force station. In the photo on the very far right it has a uncanny resemblance of my father. I know from his picture and the uniform is not that of a pilot. He was from the WOM section of the Hunter squadron which was part of Wing 28 at that time. If you have more photos of the Halwara base please post them as well. Thank you
Can you tell me who gave you these photos? I see my father sitting with pilots in the Halwara photo. He was in the signals unit of the Wing at the base. I would like to get some pictures from your source if it is ok with you.
