Bad idea! Why should there be a coup in Pak? The Islamist Army of Pak is in charge anyway. IK is just a puppet on a string.

They are experts in running the affairs without actually taking over power directly and for that they use an assortment of Pakistani political characters and operators. Right now everybody including Taliban Khan seems to be willing to be an instrument for that policy.

The military would always want to have somebody who would not challenge its authority. But if there is a coup and the army takes over, US sanctions will kick in. The Kerry-Lugar Bill specifies that Pakistan's military must be subordinate to its elected government. So why should the army openly stage a coup and be slapped with sanctions - economic and military - when they can do it surreptitiously as they are doing now?

All of Pakistan's policies and woes can be explained by one fact: An estimated 60-70% of its population is inbred.

Indian Armed Forces only pray and request that the rotten stuff they make should not be dumped on Armed Forces. The forces deserve a fare chance to fight. We defeat them before the war begins by giving them social service produced "Ordinance" stuff.

If OFB and factories have to exist and survive they must be economically profitable and competitive or close down. Half of people in India do not know that more than half of Defence Budgets goes into salary of these "Civilian" employees.

Let me make it absolutely clear there must not be any compromise on QUALITY ... defense personal are putting their life in the line of fire and must not get sub standard products ... if be it from Indian OFs ...

Saying that Indian OFs are also facing serious out dated technology and need immediate up gradation else they will not be able to make the quality requirements ...

We are not investing much on the OFs up-gradation ... if we have to close them down we have to think of the re skill or re deployment of the employees ...

I am only asking for clarity on policies that will help both armed forces and OFs alike ...

We just saw the AK - 203 production given to Ameethi based OF ... We must ensure that Ameethi has the right technology and equipment ready to give the quality of AK-203 expected by army ...

When you have constrained resources and under pressure then you are bound to turn on each other as way of releasing frustrations. It can happen in any organization facing hostile takeover or even relatives turning on each other because of Hospital costs.

They can't find solution to the core problem under impossible circumstances, so they find faults among each other.

That's exactly what's happening in Pakistan. Given illiteracy and conspiracy theories prevalent there along with sense of entitlement and superiority on basis of caste / ethnicity, such bickering has more chances of happening than not.

However this doesn't smell of coup, it smells of mutiny and fissures among ranks of PA and PA with PAF.

PAF may take their pilot not getting a heroic burial lying down but they sure can't shove release of Abhinandan down their throats.

Further news of Abhinandan joining his squadron back in Kashmir whilst PAF missing their star pilot is adding insult to injury.

And then sword of F-16 shot down going public is hanging over their heads.

If you view whole episode of 26 and 27 Feb, India got away with more than anyone ever thought.
