Four terrorists killed in Encounter in Pulwama

Huge success for security forces as four terrorists killed in Lassipora in Pulwama in Jammu and Kashmir; Slain terrorists are reported to be affiliated with Lashkar-e-Toiba; Arms and ammunition recovered; Mobile internet services suspended in district.

In Jammu & Kashmir, four terrorists were killed in a fierce encounter between terrorists and Security forces in Lassipora area of South Kashmir's Pulwama district. Three army personnel were injured.

The gunfight erupted in the area in wee hours of Monday. Arms and ammunition was also recovered from the encounter site. The counter terrorist operation has concluded.

The killed terrorists are reported to be affiliated with Lashker e-Taiba. However, security sources said that the identity and affiliation of the slain terrorists is being ascertained.

Meanwhile, the situation in Lassipora area and adjacent areas of Pulwama was reported tense following killing of the terrorists. The mobile internet services have been suspended in the district.
