Mostly these could be software updates linking with some vital switches..than any mechanical updates...IMO

I think there is no point in discussing why kill switch( which I believe doesn’t exist) isn’t used. Look at it from American MIC perspective, imagine the credibility of sales pitch if an F-16 takes down an SU-30MKI. Americans will never want to loose such an opportunity.

Better to make an assumption that paki F-16 have full capabilities and plan accordingly rather than underestimating the equipment our enemies have.

Interesting. But if the Yanks had such a mechanism, they utterly failed to initiate the 'kill switches' to render them duff. The F-16s crossed the IB/LoC and fired 4 AMRAAMs with impunity. What were the Yanks doing? So all this talk of such a gizmo is pure science fiction.

However, this technology may have been incorporated in the F-35s and the latest missiles. AIM 120Cs and the Paki F-16s are of the early 90s vintage and thus may not have this system. The upgraded F-16s of Pak by Turkey would certainly not have this as well as the 14 from Jordan. How the Americans allowed this sale to happen without an end user agreement is surprising!

a) we have taken some area
OR
b) Our artillery or aircraft bombed that area.

I think this is a paradigm shift if any of the above are true.

Such a concept being available could be true cuz we hear such not only with American weapons..but with Russians and a few other nations too.

But you are right.. we should never assume that US or any other nation will do anything for us in our favor..they wont.

Don't think airstrikes. It will be too big, First time India attacking porki army positions. Probably 155mm or M-46/IFGs with bleed base rounds, or Pinaka :biggrin2:

The AMRAAMs were jammed by the SUs ECM suite and thus scored zero hits. Looks like the AIM 120Cs are as useless as tits on a boar hog!! :biggrin2:

4 amram was jammed but one destroyed by chaff ,actually there was 24 pak jet near loc 3 f16 entered indian air space which was engage by one mki and one mirage 2000 ,pak jets fired 5 amram 4 was jammed but one was destroyed by chaff system ,f 16 jet was lock down by our mirage but didnt fire bcoz of system failure then

AFAIK UCAVs are only implemented against terrorists or against an Army after air superiority has been achieved. What are these drones going to do against IA/IAF?
