Here's him being invited at the ORF in Delhi.
Listen to him finely. He's quacking the US line, more than the Paki line. His whole theory is based on the supremacy of a third party in an Indo-Pak escalation by making BOTH India and Pakistan look infantile. This is essentially a US plant being given a cover of a 'Paki agent' just to bolster his credibility in Pakistan and act as track 2.0 agent between India and Pakistan (that's why Delhi felt comfortable inviting him to ORF when we wouldn't even allow the Paki ambassador to come anywhere close).
The Paki deep state line is that they want to alter the status quo because they think India is getting an upper hand. The Indian line is that we need to alter the status quo in line with our long term parliamentary obligations, so both parties want to contest the status quo. The third line, i.e the American line is that neither party should alter the status quo and let the mediator dictate terms here. "Do nothing" as the status quo favors Murica.
He is essentially a replacement for Christine Fair after her cover was blown. She went into Pakistan trying to make herself look pro-Pak, got her agenda exposed there, then she was deployed to India to appear pro-India, got her agenda exposed here too. She has been relegated to taking potshots at India through Twitter after Indian think tanks started snubbing her. Now they are peddling the same narrative (America's need to intervene) through new voice(s) appearing to emerge from within the population. Yusuf from Pakistan and Abhijit Iyer from India are both CIA plants peddling the same thing "jingos from both sides will take the world towards a nuclear war... listen to big daddy Murica for lasting world peace."
Pakistan hates the US more than India does. They see American influence as an unwelcome interference. Look up any interviews from Hamid Gul, they just want the US to give them a bag of $ and let Pakistan manage this region alone. Any Paki think-tank person peddling America's stabilizing influence in South East Asia, is an American plant.
