You are too optimistic, the current govt or any Indian govt will not take an offensive action without any provocation, this isn't Russia.
It's either routine or they suspect the Iron Biraders are upto something.
Besides retaking PoK will need a full thrust into Poonjaub and Sindh along with artillery and air support along with mountain warfare regiments to take PoK proper, Poonjaub thrust is only to divert their armed forces.
idk how many years it would take to plan such an operation, even if the trigger to do this was in retaliation to any Paki-backed g*nmasti that happens here.
After that there is ofc the kharcha in men and money to retain that area because they will send Afghandu and other poothan freedumb fighters to wrest control of that area from us.
It is not halwa and can very well be a quagmire for us, imo grabbing parts of Paki Poonjaub is easier provided we can find some solution to get the Pakis on that land to leave.
