Thing is our operational available aircraft is 50-60% only.....
That's only because the likes of the MiG-21 and MiG-27 bring down the average of the entire force. They are being retired.
The key is that the IAF's backbone and premed fighter the MKI is being brought up to 75% availability across the fleet this year, the Rafale will come with at least 75% availability, the Mirage 2000 fleet will deliver similar figures and the LCA (thanks to localised support) will be in this ball park.
By the way, if you think the Pakis enjoy any greater fleet availability then you're delusional. Their premier fighter (F-16) barely has 55-60% availability.
Again, they are outmanned and outgunned. The MKI is easily worth 2 F-16s and yet they have barely 1/4th of the fleet strength of the MKIs. The Rafale will be a total game changer with AESA radar, Spectra suite and the METOER BVRAAM with an undisclosed range (easily more than 150km). Yes it will be primarily deployed against China but having this beast in India's arsenal will keep the Pakis up at night as they have absolutely nothing that comes close nor are they going to get anything for the foreseeable future that will close the gap.
India is pulling away at a greater rate than any time in the past inspite of the attempts to CONgress to stall this progress. 10 years under this leadership will see Pakistan on its knees in regards to India's superiority that is for sure.
