What about this in melee combat

View attachment 58662
It works on chain-mail & even modern soft armours... Indian subcontinent never achieved the metallurgy to make platenarmour back then.

I think it's be a good dagger for SF, better than wide slashing Kukri actually. But don't expect it to match thise chinese long-daos.

Our special ops team use the modern crossbows. They can easily target and penetrate over 100 m with a range of 500 m to reach and scare shit out of CCP's militia which is the main objective anyway.
Off context... And ddressed in previous post.
Also crossbows are used to take out sentries silently. Not that powerful weapons themselves.

somebody please help me understand, why we will play by their rule? why this bows and arrows saga? what's the need for this medieval mindset?

shouldn't we play by our own rule?

draw a red line, if they cross that, then simply fire. and I think we've also conveyed that to them.
Exactly! So much chutiyapa...

Just plant some damn claymores & landmines around the positions, they have been efficiently detering sneakers for decades (there'll be total deniability too. We can just claim they are from '62 war).

Or spray some LMG fire in their direction but don't hit anyone. They'll scurry off.

The Chinese don't care about reason.
They see us as a primitive, inferior, incompetent and above all weak people who yet refuse to bend the knee to them.Everyone else in east asia, south east asia, even in south asia already has.

For them Might is the only right, as they have been taught about their "century of humiliation" every step of their lives to further legitimize the communist party of china's rule of their country.
They are told the CCP is their Nation, going against CCP is going against Chinese nationalism.

They will only respond to strength.
Anything else is dismissed as the pleading of a weak vassal to them.

Reason has never worked with the Chinese, it doesn't work with Pakistan, it didn't work with the Anglos/Portugese, it never worked with the Mughal Dynasty, or the Delhi Sultanate dynasties.

The panacea of Bharat to the problem of the "Eternal Foreign Invader" is to stay united, a strong industry and military, with patriotic sentiment among the populace.

Without being a strong nation, internally and externally, all such enemies will continue their acts against us.
Yes Chinese understand only strength. The more we negotiate, the more they think we are weak.

I think those are included in 4th mot div. I may be wrong. @Bhadra Sir?
Formally, Light tanks are not on the orbat of either the Mechanised Division Armour Regiment nor the Motorised Division Armoured Regiment ....
This is a new equipment and might have come in place of t-59 varient Chinese Meduim tanks...

But the light Tanks have had enough of its publicity and after this campaign, no one is going to ask for light tanks .... for Ladakh.. I wish some engagement takes place between T-72 and this crap.... or someone fires an 84mm Carl Gustav HEAT at that crap just as an experiment...

so at least 1 motorized divisions + 3 battalions to threaten Chushul.
Ahhhh..... trying to do a Stalingrad. I think they still are of the view that we won't be proactive. What's not generally realised is that proactivity too has different colors. हुस्न के लाख रंग जल्दी ही देखने को मिलेंगे इन्हें, फिलहाल तो 29-30 वालों पर 3 है देख लें :india2:

Simple crossbows are more effective than bow and arrow these days.
They have greater FPS and with laser sights are more accurate and stable, easier to point and shoot single handedly.
Most good hunting crossbows are in the USD 350-400 range. Probably cheaper than an OFB produced handgun.

Those Light tanks are good for scaring their own people but will prove to be useless in a war against IA. the ATGMs can single-handedly convert these toys into ash.

Nehru the Rakhtbeej Boiii
I just went through the detail if war escalates India should simply take control.iver those islands by bombing shit out of it. They can't resist for long over there.

Say Fcuk Yourself To Burma later if they ever dare to raise a single voice.

If things do not escalate then directly engage Burma and made it clear those islands don't belong to them now their big daddy India is going to take control so vacate if they don't follow the lines attack.

VT-5 have ERA... apparently the platform is designed for low intensity conflict to resist HEAT rockets & RPGs. The frontal armour can stop 57mm rounds.
Also reportedly has hard-kill-soft-kill APS, while itself being capable of firing ATGM.

So we'll need kinetic rounds from bigger tanks.

Ah ... that is where the SFF will play their role....
Sir, was going through the tibet uprisings 2008 accounts. Yesterday the posts by global times also pointed towards the nervousness of Beijing towards the same issue. The flame is still burning. Read the media reports dating back to 2008 and that was a very prominent issue all over the world. Every major media outlet of every country has it covered documented. Uprising can occur with even a slightest of hope that they can get free. And seems govt is working on that strategy. Cards will get opened as we climb the escalatory ladder
