That's one advantage having more time to intercept the missile... and no don't go by Syrian media reports.
most of the missiles intercepted by S-200 are decoys, I've even seen the video of a missile from s200 hitting other missiles from s200 right after they fired.

and Israel
Some will get through if enough of them are thrown at an AD, pk is typically .6 to as high as 0.85....there is no 100%. In military, everything is risk reduction not risk elimination all the time especially between peers. USAF is concerned and stayed away other than doing token strikes. AD is working in Syria reasonably well.

Abhijit Mitra is right. There will be consequences. Chinese think they are superior. And they do not think the way India does.. India, even if she is militarily superior to someone and there exists an opportunity to force someone down; doesn't do it. China, on the other hand, would attack us with the mentality that they are superior and they can punish us. 1962 redux?
So, war on small scale is inevitable which might turn into large scale war soon or in coming few years. But the war is imminent, no denying that.

No one here has problem with him.

:hmm: Chinese response seems to be for more talks and amicable settling.

They don't seem to be nearly as agitated as during Doklam.

You all remember the dumb video of chinese guy pretending to be sikh .
It was a nibbi. :pound: :pound: :pound:

It was a 'well planned accident' by the Chinese side. AIM should down another glass of chaas, pass some gas, come back to his Tweeting device and either delete it or add a clarification.
I believe he's referring to the deaths that occurred on the 15th as an accident

Another thing about Chinese cruise missiles is that they either rely on TERCOM radar signal or radio signal from their satellites to fly in terrain mode. If you jam these radio signals, the cruise missile may crash into the ground or fly into a mountain.

15th June may have been an accident but them changing status quo wasn't.

Why are they blocking our patrols in Depsang ? Is it an accident ?

AIM lives in a bubble where the Indian military doesn't wargame before action, and lacks satellite analysts of its own. Also, unlike Nehru, neither Modi nor any of his cabinet members resorted to namecalling or stupid statements.

Our military has factored in Xi's ego into its wargames. My guess is with the build-up in Dokhlam, PLA will try something multi-pronged, like further stab of the Chumbi dagger, ingress into Naku La, ingress into DBO. I wouldn't put desecration of Kailash Mansarovar shrine past them, either. Our military has the ability to halt each of these ingresses.

I totally agree with you, what I'm trying to say is that the Chinese viewed that as an accident and what has happened over the last 2-3 days as an "Inferior nation trying to look them in the eye" so they'll reciprocate in someway!

I have seen this before.. with so called self proclaimed India's foremost conservative analyst Bharat Karnad.. in the aftermath of Balakot strike.. He was rattled at the prospect of war with Pakistan.. The bastard keeps talking about using nukes like its child play.. but when the moment to fight was upon us.. he was talking as if the strikes were a mistake... Time, Abhijit develops a backbone...

They already lost according to their own Sun Zu, India did not blink and their big super power bluff called out....any war no matter how small will lead to casualities on both sides but they have the most to lose as an aspiring global power. Samething with US, Trump is playing football with them and they just dance to the tune....chincoms overestimate their appeal. A bully can win 100 battles but 1 lost battle leads to their demise in general.

What exactly happened with the Congress is that after 62 Humiliation their politicians are taught to blame the chinese ignoring the Nehru's mistake of failing to arm the military Properly.
They showed Chinese as a Superior power this built a Cowardice within the Party for a very long time encouraging current Congresies to not to take any action whenever they come and take the Indian Land.....

This Ends Now...
